yea, I’m not trying to be a dick but there is this recurring theme lately of people that fill out the thing, say they aren’t very good and want to play, but only SF4 and 3rd Strike.
none of you new guys bring anything to the table. you can’t host, you don’t go to tournaments, you don’t go to CF, you don’t contribute to the thread, you don’t/won’t play anything but SF4/3rd Strike, you aren’t asian, etc etc
i would like to broaden the skills of our group, and by that what i mean is playing different games, talking to one another about certain shit in said games, going to tournaments to improve your play. going to CF to meet and play other people of the community, and growing as players. but i just don’t see this happening nor do i even see any attempt at trying to make it happen.
In regards to the tournies, the $5 venue fee means what exactly? No reason for me to enter since I would get bodied (I don’t even got any of those three games yet) but I would love to just hang around and get in that FG spirit.
And yeah Booty you hit the nail on the head with me really. The one time I showed up when you held at your house a few months ago and then I disappeared. I gotta’ get this shit together.

yea a couple of people that post on the thread suck and really are a bunch of pot monsters and only play ssf4 and they still suck at it. damn dudes need to step they shit up and bring on some new shit rivalry and hype lol :arazz:

Does someone mind going with me to the tourney? I’ve never been to Gamepad and I am not looking forward to going on an 1-hour train ride to get lost in Bay Ridge lol. But yeah I wish most of you guys lived closer to me. After a week of work the last thing I want to do is travel for an hour on the MTA. Anyone up for CTF? I’ve been going almost every Friday since last month & the only people I ever see are AVC & Duke lol.

the venue fee is basically like a ‘rental’ fee so to say. but it goes directly to the shop owner. instead of us paying him a flat price to ‘rent’ the venue, he gets paid per player that shows up. but you can’t join the tournament if you don’t pay the venue fee. and don’t worry about getting bodied, there is about two and a half hours of casuals before hand to warm up. no players are really ‘tournament ready’. you just do your best. hope to see you there my dude.
it’s a tournament me, mike, and team sp00ky put together. like we just felt there was a seriously lack of consistent tournaments so we started our own. the once a month battlefields were well… once a month and $20 a pop and had a limited selection of games. this will be bi-weekly, $10 a pop, and hopefully have a lot of different games in the future. now people who felt left out of being able to play with top players have a chance every other week to practice for other bigger events and evo.
take the N from canal and it’s about 10 stops. but be in the last 3 cars. when you get out of the train go to the exit in the back it’ll put you on Bay Parkway. and it’s a block away. from canal it’s actually about half hour.
oh I live in 191 and St. Nicholas i might be able to host sometimes i just didn’t want to drag people from Brooklyn too far. I just play MB casually but i still get wins at ctf idk if that means anything lol
