Firmware updated, all buttons disabled (except select and home to update) 1 foot usb cord attached to the board. I can update the board just fine but it is still not detected by my computer or any of my systems. Also tried different usb ports just in case that was the issue but no luck.
OK guys, can you please help me?
It’s hard to do a search for single letter or 2 letter terms and there’s nothing clear on this at all.
But how do I hook up the “LS, DP or RS” selector on the UFB on a board that doesn’t have a LS, DP or RS but has another option for it? Please note: I want to install this in my Qanba Q4raf later (I do NOT own the UFB yet, it’s expensive), so I want to know what to expect.
The Qanba q4raf does not have a LS, DP, RS rocker switch selector. Instead, it has a “Mode” switch that toggles the PCB to go between DP and left analog stick mode. it’s not a relay where the switch goes between pressed and not pressed like a cherry MX lock switch, but it sends an electrical signal to the PCB to switch from DP to left analog. I need that switch ability for games that don’t accept the hat(DP) input. (Hint: Callus for arcade perfect street fighter 2 hyper fighting). There also seem to be wires going from the “panel”'s pcb area to a separate part of the PCB.
So How would I make this work with the UFB?
I couldn’t find any information on that. And I don’t even know where or how to buy a 3 way switch either
I don’t know how to solder. I don’t have any soldering equipment or any experience with wiring stuff besides putting stuff in quick connects or screw terminals. I have no tools except a multi bit screwdriver. I could.ahem…try to “buy” soldering equipment but I’d rather not spend $100 just to solder something when I’ve never soldered anything before (I don’t even know where or how to start).
You can use the mode switch to choose between either LS or RS and DP since it is a spdt switch that grounds one side. Otherwise you can hook up a sp3t switch for ls/Rs/DP
Home and select are the only buttons currently wired since I needed those to update the firmware. Literally the only thing the pcb is doing right now is lighting up when I plug it in to whatever.
Thank you, but I’m still very confused
Please bear with me because as I said I am very new to these things. I apologize if I seem like I’m dumb.
You’ve worked with a Q4raf modded with a UFB before?
So I assume then there are “two” wires going from the mode button, and I would solder or find a way to attach it to the “DP” and “LS” hole on the UFB board?
And I googled “SPDT” and what I got doesn’t seem to be anything like the Qanba…
How does that relate to a qanba “mode” button?
is it the “panel” PCB that’s doing that?
I’m getting afraid of having to tear that apart because I have no clue what wire would go to DP and LS now.
Alright thanks for the info! I think I might just go with a Brook 360->PS4 converter on the first stick to make things easy (apparently it works with the ps360+) and use the Brook UFB directly on the 2nd stick. I was wondering though, on the second stick is there a way to connect the led pcb from the Killer Instinct TE2?
One would think. Heads up I have a new motherboard thats USB 3.0, and the 2.0 are actually still controlled by the 3.0 xhci controller.
I cannot connect my 1st gen rocksmith cable anymore. I was able to hustle it using my razer widow usb passthrough which seems to do something in between and clean it up. Other threads say you need a powered usb hub or 2nd gen/2014 cable.
After I updated I unplugged it and plugged it in without holding the buttons in the video. I will try again later tonight.
When I got the board initially the first thing I did after wiring it up was update the firmware. I then used in on the PS3/4 and Xbox to make sure it worked before spending a few hours playing old games on fightcade on the laptop with it. A.few days later I went to play some games with my kids on the PS3 and it didn’t work. Tried it on both computers and got the same result which is why I posted in this thread.
I really hope I’m not sounding rude or anything. I’m just trying to get this working again.
