Doesn’t show up on PC at all under device and printers except when I go to update the board. Hid compliant device will show up for the amount of time it takes to update. No changes to any of the systems in the last few days. It will light up when I plug it in to whatever system but that is all it will do. The only thing it will let me do is hold select and home to update it. Other than that it’s like it isn’t plugged in.
Getting a disconnect/reconnect when using it on a Xbox 360. While playing the xbox shows it disconnect and then connects back.
On the most current firmware. Any ideas?
what is the name of the firmware you used? please make sure you used 20160411 v1.4 version and retry
if you have made sure the above, you can try to disable the 8 keys(1p-4p, 1k-4k), and then see if other keys still works. just want to make sure the board is not forced into any specific mode, you can then try to do firmware update to see if it works.
My friend and I just got custom sticks with the brooks universal boards. Does the stick work with USB 3.0 ports? I haven’t tested on my computer (using it for consoles), but my buddy only has 3.0 ports and could not get the stick to work. Is there a work around if there is an issue? Thanks!
Nope, no bsod…the stick is plugged into the usb 3.0 port, but is not recognized at all by Windows 10. It’s as if I didn’t plug it in at all…no sign of it in Device Manager either
Hi guys, first time poster here! I just recently got into fighting games so I bought a pre-modded Xbox One TE2 with crossbone and PS360+, which works very well however I want to be able to use it on ps4 without the 8 min timeout problem. I’m wondering is it possible to swap out the ps360+ with the Brook UFB? I believe all I would need to do is solder a 20 pin header to the Brook, connect a ribbon cable to it, and solder 3 other wires for D+, D-, and V. Am I correct in assuming this? Here is a pic of my setup:
While I’m at it, my brother has an unmodded Xbox One TE2 that he’s considering modding with one of these, would it be better to install a crossbone with it in the same way as my TE2 or should he do it another way? He is also wondering is it possible to connect the LED Board to the Brook without the crossbone?
Many people have encountered this issue including myself. While there are several workarounds mentioned earlier in this thread, my solution was to use a USB 2.0 hub.
this one is correct.
just make sure you have successfully updated it.
if you do, you may try to check if the cable is too long, or switch to another USB port.
this problem may happen due to unstable or insufficient voltage
Sure, but I don’t think it’s USB3.0 vs 2.0 that’s doing this, I’m pretty sure that it might just be a weird chipset driver or something that doesn’t agree with the Brook. It usually is in these kinds of cases.
@KingRaoh what motherboard/chipset are you using? Have you tried finding newer drivers?
You are correct. Direct swap. Personally I would forego using another crossbone on the other stick (or the first stick you mentioned) and wire everything directly. With the crossbone you will need to hard wire the select buttons directly to the brook to update. This has all been answered before in this or the absolute answer thread.
