Actually, even with the exchange rate itās still cheaper. The only import fee youāll possibly be charged would be whatever you pay in sales tax + $10. Iād say youāre better off taking your chances with FA. If you order from Canadian Joysticks youāre guaranteed to pay whatever your sales tax is.
Right now $90 USD is equal to $116.09. Even if you get dinged youāll still save a few bucks. FA shipping is pretty good actually. I ordered a few things from them last Saturday and got the package on Friday. I live in southwestern Ontario which is a hell of a lot closer to Pennsylvania than BC is.
Just a Quick question. If I want to use the Touch Pad Key on Brook Universal do I also need to solder to the ground on the same pinout or can I use the common ground from the screw in terminal since I have daisy chain ground cable.
So yeah, PINs 1-20 were completely destroyed like hakdizzle said. I hate micro soldering and almost just went with a 6 button config but I can be obsessive sometimes and need to at least try before giving up.
I soldered a tiny wire directly to the chip and used that as a new trace all the way to the screw terminal. 4P works now!!
I know thereās more wire exposed than there should be but Iām just glad that I was able to solder it exactly on the right pin without bridging it with the others. I went crazy with the hot glue because I really really donāt want to have to do this again anytime soon.
