Brook PS3/PS4 "Fightboard" PCB Thread

No, START = OPTION and SELECT = SHARE

I see, thank you !

Hoping mine comes before the next round of beta for SF5. It was between this and getting the RAP4, and after reading all the hell about input lag with that thing, I feel like this board is the best choice for people who have a last gen stick and aren’t afraid of some soldering.

Does the touch pad button work as an input on PS3? Would it be possible to make the touch pad button also activate select on the PS3 side?

@blueNINE You can solder two wires on SELECT button, then connect with select and touch pad on FB. =) =)

I did think of this, but on the PS4 side, I wouldn’t want to activate the share button when hitting select. Also, the reason behind this is that the share button is not so important, but the touch pad button is used to reset in training mode for some games (like GGXrd and USFIV). If you could change the firmware so that select would be select on PS3, but the touch pad on PS4, that would be ideal for fighting game players, I think.

In any case, thanks for your quick response!

Wouldnt that make the stick activate share and touchpad simultaneously in PS4 mode?

Also what does Touch Pad (PS4) = on PS3?

Hi @blueNINE
Thanks your suggestion, I will do a long search for all…

@DrScorpio Touch Pad (PS4) ==> No function on (PS3)

I believe you can reset in training by pressing R1+R2 for GGXrd. Don’t know about USFIV or the upcoming SFV though.

I guess instead of changing select/share to be select (on PS3)/touchpad (on PS4), it would make more sense to just add select functionality on the PS3 side when wiring up to the touchpad point.

Just tested that, and it doesn’t work. You can only reset by using the touchpad button or by going into the pause menu. In USFIV, it’s the same.

Sorry, my copy is currently being lent to a friend so I can’t confirm, but I remember pressing the record+play button resets the training. I think it’s not R1+R2, it’s L1+L2. You can check in button configuration, on the Type A-Type E scheme (not in the default pad scheme).

Ah, okay. It’s actually not L1+L2 either – it’s L3+R3 (by default). Good to know, so thanks. I just checked in USFIV, and only the touchpad button or menu option works (to load the Memory).

Paradise break out board with cheese please!

Soldering them up tomorrow

what’s the cost looking like for them?

will the x input mode on the pc side make the pcb work just like a 360 stick on pc? (plug and play for SFV pc) any updates on that yet

My board arrived this morning from Paradise. Dropped it into an old broken TE-S I had kicking around.
Works great. For those wondering, it’s plug&play for each system. Plug it into a PS4, works as a PS4 controller. Plug it into a PC and it shows up as a 360 controller (x-input), you get the idea. I’m not sure if there’s a way to force a specific console by pushing a button when plugging it in. I ended up mapping the Share/Select button to the Turbo button, and mapping Touchpad to Select. Figured it’d be more useful that way, since it seems Touchpad has become the new de facto Select, plus it’s harder to accidentally hit Share this way.
Thanks armi0024 & Paradise, thanks GOGO.Zippy and Brook. I’ll probably be back for more of these at some point.

nice that’s good to hear will be getting one soon

@badatgames : where did you buy the touchpad?

It shows up as an actual 360 controller on pc? Have u tried it on a 360 aswell?
