Hoping mine comes before the next round of beta for SF5. It was between this and getting the RAP4, and after reading all the hell about input lag with that thing, I feel like this board is the best choice for people who have a last gen stick and arenât afraid of some soldering.
I did think of this, but on the PS4 side, I wouldnât want to activate the share button when hitting select. Also, the reason behind this is that the share button is not so important, but the touch pad button is used to reset in training mode for some games (like GGXrd and USFIV). If you could change the firmware so that select would be select on PS3, but the touch pad on PS4, that would be ideal for fighting game players, I think.
I guess instead of changing select/share to be select (on PS3)/touchpad (on PS4), it would make more sense to just add select functionality on the PS3 side when wiring up to the touchpad point.
Just tested that, and it doesnât work. You can only reset by using the touchpad button or by going into the pause menu. In USFIV, itâs the same.
Sorry, my copy is currently being lent to a friend so I canât confirm, but I remember pressing the record+play button resets the training. I think itâs not R1+R2, itâs L1+L2. You can check in button configuration, on the Type A-Type E scheme (not in the default pad scheme).
Ah, okay. Itâs actually not L1+L2 either â itâs L3+R3 (by default). Good to know, so thanks. I just checked in USFIV, and only the touchpad button or menu option works (to load the Memory).
My board arrived this morning from Paradise. Dropped it into an old broken TE-S I had kicking around.
Works great. For those wondering, itâs plug&play for each system. Plug it into a PS4, works as a PS4 controller. Plug it into a PC and it shows up as a 360 controller (x-input), you get the idea. Iâm not sure if thereâs a way to force a specific console by pushing a button when plugging it in. I ended up mapping the Share/Select button to the Turbo button, and mapping Touchpad to Select. Figured itâd be more useful that way, since it seems Touchpad has become the new de facto Select, plus itâs harder to accidentally hit Share this way.
Thanks armi0024 & Paradise, thanks GOGO.Zippy and Brook. Iâll probably be back for more of these at some point.
