I’m not saying that, but the converter came out ~2 years after the PS4 came out, so who’s to say when it works and when it won’t without testing?
I’m guessing your customer/curiosity is asking if it’s been unplayed forever or it’s hacked will it still work? Test and find out!

Can’t update Brooks board with TE2 Crossbone. Brooks set as default. 
Zippy can you pls help solve the update method for us owners.
I had the same problem. The only workaround i could think of was taking it out of the crossbone and updating that way.
When you mod brooks along with Xbox 1 TE2 Crossbone for dual mod you can not update firmware at all. Pressing PS + Select while plugging in wont work for update. Can you make another method of updating the PCB?
Or, could you point to alternative drivers for brooks that might help fix the issue.

Using brooks pcb with crossbones te2 pcb.
Some more testing. Tried to update on Windows 7, 8, and 10 no luck. (And, yes running as admin on all win versions.)
I really don’t want to de-solder anything. The stick works on PS4 (8min time out due to not being able to update firmware), PC, and Xbox1.
Button combination is not allowing it to initialize the update process which is critical for this and other Brook products.
Im currently in the process of using ps3/ps4 brook pcb wired to a FGWidget Converter so that i may use my saturn pad to play some games being that the saturn pad was to me the best pad to use for fighters, but im not the best at wiring things so i thought i would ask you guys and show you what i have mapped out so far. Some of the things that i am not sure of is how do i get power to the FGWidget Converter?

You missed two pins (share and gnd) to connect with FGWidget converters.
Btook used PS & Share combo.keys to update.
Tap 5v from your brook board and solder onto the FGW.
