ive just been too busy lately to post alot. it will open in early march. im just currently going through all the red tape involved in opening a business. ill keep you guys posted. opening weekend will be free play but you guys can throw a tourney the following weekend if you like. i have a hard drive camcorder we can record matches with.
the place opens april 11. the opening weekend (the 11th to the 13th) everything will be on freeplay. it is gonna be more of a cyber cafe though. i will have a 3s cabinet and a mvc2 cabinet as well as two lcd tv’s with 360’s on them. you guys should come by
if you got just two cabinets, you can run and organize a tourney and we’ll come.
1 day event type shit where we drive in the morning and drive back at night. I can see it.
i wouldn’t say you need help with anything. I mean you can ask. I have lots of experience running tournaments. But in my experience, with no equipment organization, just fucking set one up and shout it out to everyone. Make sure there’s a local player base. Even if they’re scrubs, develop and grow a player base, otherwise there’s no point for us to show up.
Working 3s and Marvel cabs sound excellent. What’s the deal on the setup? jap or american? convex or concave buttons? what kind of sticks?
edit: and where the hell is it? you got an address?
only if everyone else agrees and you give me an apology for all of the mean and hurtful things you said to me… and yes i know i said terrible things but you deserved all of them.
:tdown:Sorry Fidel Gustro. I am used to trying to ward off the “flaming.” Ottawa hates Tekken. I hope it all goes well for you. I think you will be pleased with the decision to have a Cyber Cafe instead of an arcade in the long term financially :wgrin::lovin::wgrin:
Perhaps I should rephrase that. Tekken is virtually non-existent in Ottawa. It isn’t that Ottawa hates Tekken. The number of Tekken players Ottawa has can probably not support the number of money that a Tekken 5\D.R.\6 machine costs. It just seems like no one in Ottawa CARES. I dunno, it’s just that I can’t always play Tekken on my PSP or PS2 exclusively all the time. There is no sense of community for Tekken in Ottawa. Should I move to Brockville, fidel__gustro_69 ?
