with ken, there’s some things you can do
dash in throw,
dash in and short short super to counter the throw tech
dash in and medium punch into fierce punch into super (to counter the down parry or throw tech)
dash in, dash back, down medium kick into hit confirm super, to counter some stuff
overheads, into super
down short, throw
down short, pause, short short throw
and then you can cross up with medium kick stuff, i’ll write those now
after cross up, you can
medium punch, fierce punch, into super for damage
medium punch, pause, throw
medium punch, pause, short short super (to counter throw)
medium punch, pause, medium punch (hit confirm into super)
down short short super (sometimes people don’t block low)
universal overhead into random stuff as mentioned above
pause, throw
pause, SUPER
jump straight up and either parry or do more random shit i guess
i dunno, ken’s SUUUUPER random!
oh, and if you think they’re gonna down parry, you can either standing roundhouse them
or crouching medium kick, hit confirm the parry, and SUPER them, cuz they’ll almost NEVER not attack after they see a parry
if you think they’re gonna jump, ken’s most damaging attack, is the EX hurricane kick in the air, and some uppercuts or a standing fierce
some random shit you can do…
if people jump at you, you can i guess UPPERCUT
parry into stuff
parry into throw
standing jab punch into uppercut (if you think they’ll one hit parry)
and if you happen to be walking backwards, or you KNOW they won’t be able to reach you with an attack
either walk forward, or dash forward into a throw (works with any character). it’s very effective
and… if you have a feeling they’re gonnna parry or somtehing stupid
do a back medium kick (the overhead)… cuz it does 2 hits, does a shitload of damage
AND you can hit confirm the super link after it.
if you think they’re gonna dash, just do a down medium kick into super
ORRR you can hit confirm the down medium punch into super, just to randomly counter dash ins.
if you’re gonna sweep (i love sweeping)… do it JUST outside of counter sweeping range
if they’re using someone with a super that can cover that distance… don’t abuse it that much, unless you KNOW it’ll hit… like CHUN
if you wanna play like me… anytime you expect to either block, or tech throw… do a super instead!
but if you miss it, you’ll eat the biggest fucking combo your opponent has to offer!
if you can, ALWAYS do the standing fierce, medium punch uppercut into super
it’s SLIGHTLY harder… ALMOST does the same amount of damage
but the amount of stun is ridiculously HIGHER!
