whats the general consensus from the people who have gotten a chance to use Nemesis? Good, bad, or meh? Its obviously still really early but early impressions are fun.

Everyone was loving nemesis on that stream. I still think the best part was when the Asura’s wrath guys came on and started dropping hints.

no, about Asura being a possible DLC character for MVC3. Kind of unrelated, but the stream was more or less exploding.

It took a while for people to start figuring out Nemesis. Until then he was just being played like DURRRRR…WALK FORWARD INTO SOUL FIST UNTIL DEATH.

About that lv 3 though. It basically means that Pheonix, Strider and Dr. Strange are going to have to watch their backs and not teleport madly into Nemesis, or they’ll be subjected to 6-7 seconds of horrible tentacle rape and wake up with half their life gone. (in pheonix’s case, dead)

Problem is, Nemesis seems to need to burn meter to do really big damage (his combos are so short that he requires 1 bar to really pull out damage) so if you want that lv 3 you need a battery.

Looks like it missed to me. If the tentacles are an indicator of where the attack actually hits then it doesn’t cover directly above Nemesis from what I can tell.

Missed to me, and Nemesis needs his bars it seems, Wesker will pair well with him then for battery and that lovely OTG assist.

Speaking of which good teams that center around Nemesis theories?

Nemesis/Sentinel(Drones)/Dr.Doom(Missiles or Beam)?

Nemesis, Wesker(gunshot for unblockables and otg) Doom (Beam for screen control + covering his entrance)

uh are you referring to Wall Destroyer DHC into Rhino Charge? I heard the DHC glitch is no longer existant, unless I’m missing something as in Rhino Charge first DHC into Wall Destroyer?

Both actually. Catch somebody trying to be slick and punishing the last hit in wall destroyer (which is pretty slow to come out) with some quick physical hits. or catch somebody trying to punish rhino charge with wall destroyer : p

I was planning on sticking him on point on my storm/ammy team, but he seems pretty dependent on meter, and I require a battery on point so thats not gonna work. Although you never know, he might be one of those versatile characters that can either be a meter dump or a baterry.

I’m going to use him up front.

I don’t think he really needs a battery. He deals so much damage that he should be able to build a bar once we figure out his bnb combos. Remember, the meter you get depends on the damage and damage scaling has no effect on meter gain. Plus Nemesis already has an OTG move (air rocket), he just needs an assist to combo afterwards. Now actually landing the combo will be his main concern.

since nemesis’s post command grab combos don’t scale, he’s gonna do absolutely retarded damage on top of the retarded damage he already does. if some current assists remain the same (i.e. spidey), his resets are gonna HURT, be hard to avoid, and he won’t need more than 1 meter (if any at all) or xfactor to get kills. we still got 6 characters to go too, so we’ll see how they match with nemesis as well. i’m really awaiting nova at this point.
