Yeah, he lied, stole, murdered a lot of people, supplied gangsters and drug lords with an incredibly destructive narcotic, tried to have Jesse killed and instead willingly and deliberately left him to be tortured and imprisoned by Neo-Nazis, got Hank and Gomez killed, and absolutely ruined the lives of his wife, his 17 year old son, and his infant daughter. What else am I missing?

EVEN THOUGH HE GAVE IT A SHOT WITH THAT HOT SCHOOL PRINCIPAL… BUT THAT’S FUCKING IRRELEVANT BECAUSE WHO SERIOUSLY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT CHEATING EITHER WAY COMPARED TO WALT’S CRIMES.
If you’re only going to treat the show on a superficial level, then why watch Breaking Bad? Its advantage over other crime dramas is its sophistication. You might as well just watch endless episodes of CSI if all you’re going to give a crap about is crafty villains who wreak havoc.
It’s fiction. It’s intelligent fiction and that’s what makes Walt so enjoyable. Any other show I’d have written off the villain ages ago instead of still giving a shit about seeing them rewarded for all their hard work.
Last night’s episode proved a couple of things: 1.) Some of you don’t pay attention to the episode if action isn’t going on and even then it’s still very little. 2.) The female actors on this show are terrible or the writers can’t write female characters or they don’t know what else to do with them, it’s one of these choices. 3.) Walt inadvertently saved Jesse’s life by teaching him how to cook meth (which I find hilarious). 4.) Walt left with the money he wanted to give his family so they ended up in a worse position then before depending on how you look at it.
It was a great episode, probably the best one to ever air, and we still have two episodes left. I’m now thinking Jesse will be the only one to survive all this shit.
I was hoping Walt would punch his crippled son in the face for getting in the way of adult affairs. He’s so smug and sanctimonious. Oh daddy sells meth? HE’S EBIL! Fuck you, you fucked up jigsaw puzzle. You turned on him so fast I’m surprised your crutches were still able to hold you up.
I’ve watched five seasons of Walt going through hell and given his situation I can’t say I wouldn’t done the same thing. If the opportunity was there to provide for my family and I was dying from cancer, I might have crossed that line. Even right now at the end, Walt’s clinging to his humanity, he begged and offered his fortune to save Hank, he even gave Holly back. Walt has transformed into the villain but he’s trying. The same kind of difficult situations that got this all started are pushing him further and further. Walt may have done it to himself and perhaps he does deserve to burn for everything but even now, I want him to catch a break.

when walt calls skyler, everything I read from press talks about it like he was chewing her out. my crew thought he was saving her, knowing the cops would be listening and treating her like he completely hated her and that she had nothing to do with his business, hence the tears at the end when he was still so angry on the phone, knowing that the right thing to do is keep them as far away from him as possible and put the blame fully on himself.

Jesse is the biggest punk to me. At least walt is wiling to live with what hes done, thinking to himself the ends justify the means, Jesse refuses to take responsibility for his choices and wants to blame it on other people. 4 episodes ago he had millions of dollars in his house. now, he’s a beat up drug slave.

all in all, everyone on this show is an idiot, but walt is the luckiest and smartest in many ways except most of the ones that count, like not writing your initials in a book for the dude you cook meth with, with the same signature you sign every fucking thing else with. lol at OMG HOW COULD I BELIEVE WALT WON MONEY PLAYING BLACK JACK.
BITCH, you know how much money people make off of gambling all the fucking time? lol. yeah, it was pretty believable a guy as smart as walt could fucking count some shitty cards, or slam some noobs in texas hold em, win some sports bets, etc… especially considering their lives never really changed, and the extent of money you saw was minimal. enough to start a car wash, buy a couple new 20,000 dollar cars and still wear kmart khakis. you dont need a super amount of money that you couldnt get through hardcore gambling to achieve that. the shock of omg gambling, how dumb of me to believe that, was the shittiest writing ive ever seen in my life.

[details=Spoiler]It’s the mark of good writing when the audience is inclined to sympathize more with the person who’s clearly in the wrong. They accomplish that by portraying the victim as an emotionally unstable, spiteful bitch. Don is the serial, cheating-ass, no-good womanizer in Mad Men, yet everyone more or less still hated Betty because of her neurotic bullshit. We’re inclined to side with Dexter and his extra-judicial killings because he’s killing psychotic murderous douchebags. It’s why we couldn’t stand Margaret Schroeder in Boardwalk who feels guilty about how Nucky’s money gets there, but then throws a lavish party. If you weren’t annoyed in the slightest by Skylar’s hysterics pre season 5 then you must have the morals of a saint.
What was Walt’s original dollar amount for what he needed to leave behind, $700,000 or so? It’s like people are forgetting the entire premise of the show. Walt found out he was dying. From cancer. Walt lost sight of that basic monetary goal because “Empire Business”. Some of the audience lost sight of the fact that he has cancer because Heisenberg beast mode antics.
Maybe it’s just me, but when watching this show over the years him having cancer was always the foremost thought in my mind. The main gripe some people have with Sklyer, I think, is that as a wife and mother, it was almost comical how fast she stopped giving a fuck about the fact that her husband is dying from fucking cancer. The whole time, she played the Victimized Saint, literally making everything about her. Remember when Walt was zooted up on anesthesia and started blabbing about what he was up to? Yeah, she literally left him right after he had cancer surgery. Like, really? She flipped out because she thought he paid his medical bills by selling weed with Jesse. Weed. He admitted to cooking meth, and she says she won’t turn him in …if he gives her a divorce. All about her. Basically, when faced with the slightest bump in the road the solution is, “Hmm, better divorce my dying husband.”
“Omg you’re a drug dealer and—” Bitch, Walt is dying. “I’m gonna go sleep with Ted because feelings.” Bitch, Walt is dying. “Hey look, a pool. I’m gonna go drown myself because everything is so Walt.” Walt. is. dying. Pre season five, she made the entire situation all about her. People don’t like her character because her support for her dying husband was so fucking flimsy from Jump Street™. Flimsy as in more or less non-existent. Beyond flimsy into appalling territory because of out-right spiteful, selfish acts calculated to injure. The writers did a great job there. Skylar bailing on Empire Walt I could see, because Empire Walt was showing no signs of stopping.
Also, it’s almost unrealistic how quickly the rest of Walt’s family threw their hands up and crumbled when faced with the reality of the situation.

Hank takes it like a man so ill give him a lil respect but boy was I glad when he took that round to the chest, about damn time. Poor Gomez I was hoping for a brutal alex murphy execution but meh, they kill him off screen. That shit is just damn outright dispectful to the guy.

The Aryans arent up to speed on the full powers of Heisenburg. They underestimated him and the cash was some kind of pity, perhaps as payment for Jesse since they knew Walt wasnt cooking of Hank took one to the chest.
I’m sorry for being anal, but I seriously don’t understand how Hank simply got shot above the knee against all that ammo, especially when you think how quickly Jack and friends bodied Declan’s squad. Also continuity error in a handcuffed Walt still having his glasses on.

I don’t understand what’s confusing any of you about Nazi #1 giving Walt the barrel of money. Some points:
He killed his brother-in-law even after Walt offered him all of it to not do it.
Todd CLEARLY SPOKE TO HIS UNCLE ABOUT IT. It was on camera. How the fuck did any of you miss that?
He also didn’t care about missing $10 million. As he said, people are just being greedy. He also went there not expecting to get that much loot so giving him a barrel was no skin off his nose since he got a free $70 million payout because of it.
I don’t know what some of you are doing when watching this show but paying attention sure isn’t it. You cannot be this stupid. I refuse to believe it.
I’ll admit I missed a lot on my first viewing trying to do the AMC sync thing and chat with friends after Jesse got owned. I didn’t see the shot of Walt looking down on his family before he ran or Skylar’s look of realization towards the end of the phone call until my second viewing. But it was still nice to hear Skylar get told regardless of Walt’s intent.
Goodmourning probably does have the morals of a saint, and I do have sociopathic tendencies, so I don’t take offense at his suggestion.
But seriously, I just can’t sympathize with any of the women on BB or those other shows. They’re always willing to play along and enjoy the spoils until they get spooked. Then they go into passive aggressive mode or have the worst plans on how to escape the situation.
