Breaking Bad

[details=Spoiler]I think Gomez is a goner too.

Ep was great, but it would have been better if the episode had ended right as the nazi trucks pull up. I don’t see a way out of that shootout that isn’t stupid.

Spoiler

Gomez a dead man, he’s red shirt status, he hold no other significant importance in the show

[details=Spoiler]Hank, Gomez, and Pinkman should all be dead here.

They’re up against a whole group of dudes with vests and assault rifles—and they have …pistols.

The end of this episode was like that scene in Harlem Nights:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLPI_p5RnR0

“What the hell you think you doin’ with that little shit?”

“Stop it! Stop it! Don’t shoot that little motherfucker no more!”

[/details]

Todd getting all googoo over Lydia was hilarious.

How does Walt fall for the easiest mixup ever?

That’s like pulling a SF3 Diago Parry and then not blocking a random standing jab

[details=Spoiler]what i wanna know is how do these guys not listen to Walt? He says not to shoot and they’re gonna try to shoot where he is right in the line of fire. Hank is fucking stupid trying to gloat and talk to Marie. There really is no way these guys should get outta this like Axeman said.

The next episode is where it really goes down. Ozymandias…The name of that poem about the rise and fall of an empire

Spoiler

Walt’s voice was muffled in the car. The viewers could hear clearly, but Uncle Jack and the gang couldn’t hear him. Which is why they commenced with the killing. What I don’t get is why they Hank and Gomez didn’t just show their badges? Maybe they felt like it wouldn’t have mattered either way

Spoiler

That’s what I was thinking too. Once they pulled a bunch of guns on some DEA agents and said agents saw their faces, it’s not like they could just go their separate ways.

he probably never had anything but trailerpark-poontangpie. he’s excited about some spanish flava in his life :coffee:

God dammit every second of this episode was brilliant. Breaking bad is the best show on tv ever.

Gomez gonna die for sure. I dont see how hank could possibly get out of this. I knew the aryans were going to show up anyways and my stomach dropped when they pulled up. The only time ive ever felt that sick because of tv was the lem/shane scene in the shield (which just got bumped to my 2nd fav alltime show).

So fucking brilliant. The writing the acting everything.

This was face after that episode

Jesus was that tense but what the hell was up with it turning into an episode of GI Joe with that shootout? lol

[details=Spoiler]I don’t think the Aryan’s could give 2 less fucks about their badges. I think they just wanted Hank and Gomez to move their hands away from their guns and use that as an opportunity to open fire. I don’t think Hank or Gomez are surviving this. Marie wearing black instead of purple these past few episodes could have been her foreshadowing Hank’s funeral. I was expecting the Aryan’s to surprise fire on Hank when he was on the phone with Marie after the exchanged “I love you’s” so that Marie would hear the death of her loved one, but I guess she’s going to get the “I’m coming home” promise unfulfilled. I can easily see her as the one who turns in Walt’s name to the DEA, since that was her path of choice from the start, and she doesn’t have much options of avenging her husband’s death from whom she would most likely presume came from Walt’s doing.

And Gomez … yeah he’s dead.

IF Jesse manages to survive the shootout and the next episode, I see him making it out of the season alive. Might end up getting back with Brock’s mom since she was re-introduced into the storyline.[/details]

And so far, my predictions from 2 weeks ago still remain very plausible.

I knew those dudes were gonna show up anyway. The end of the episode was too obvious.

Cliffhanger ending to keep you hype for the next episode.

You know, I was concerned that the flash forward at the beginning of the season would take away too much tension. That concern seems so alien right now…

Spoiler

And having them killed off right then and there wouldn’t have done that? Hank or Jesse would have died and I would have said “welp, no reason to watch the next episode”? The ep was great, but I just feel that was stupid from a writing standpoint. Whether they die off screen or onscreen, there was no reason they couldn’t shoehorn that into this episode.

Spoiler

The real question is why does Walt need the guns and ricin in the flash-forward. Does he refuse to cook for the Aryans after the shootout?

Spoiler

Probably so. Seems like Hank is about to be gunned down by the Aryans, despite Walt telling them NOT to come. I’d imagine that wouldn’t sit right with Walt. Guess we’ll will know next week

Spoiler

Yeah; I can’t imagine at least one of Hank or Jesse not dying here, and I imagine Walt will fuck up the Aryans’ plans as a result.

Man, you knew that was going to happen, but damn, I still sat there watching with my mouth wide open

Spoiler

A lot of people are saying that Jack and his crew can’t hear Walt. I don’t buy that. Once Hank identifies himself as police, I think Jack figures out what’s going on, and that the DEA has Walt. Jack needs Walt to teach Todd to cook. So Jack makes the decision to try to liberate Walt.

Spoiler

Hard to believe we were watching the same Walt who made the cool and calculated confession video. He was really fuckin up this episode. It was nice to see Jesse get the upper hand on him for once, even if the joy was short lived.

I definitely think whether Jack could hear Walt or not is irrelevant. They showed up despite his urging not to, and they are armed to the teeth with likely unregistered weapons, but no reason to fear losing a firefight to Hank and Gomez. Walt doesn’t have control of his muscle anymore (if he ever did).
