That’s exactly WHY Walt was so powerful. He was a man with nothing left to lose- His time was running out, and he was determined to leave his mark before kicking off.
It was just beautiful watching Shin Walter White executing Xanatos Gambits on top of Batman Prep Time and owning the living fuck out of everyone who wronged him.
I think everyone would like to write the last chapter in their lives the way Walt did.

But that’s nitpicking. To me the finale was close to absolute perfection!
In all honesty, i don’t see how this show would go for another season had Walt survived the series finale. They took so many painful steps in taking away all the things that Walt was preventing that all you would have left is a full blown psychopath with random segments of emotion. It isn’t that you couldn’t make a show out of that but the tension which keeping the family safe added to the show would be a huge loss.
I’m sad that Hank had to die. I like the way the show ended; but an ending where he got arrested seemed like it was where the story wanted to go. The only problem that ending would’ve had is that we wouldn’t see Walt hit bottom (which is also the story seemed to call for). This is gonna be a show that spans some great essays for sure. There is a great deal of both depth and subtlety to the interactions a lot of the characters had. It was a bit hard to swallow sometimes but great overall.
Easy.
He would’ve kept the pistol that Jesse refused to use on him, go in the lab, point the gun against the sirens - just like the pilot episode - and yell “REMEMBER MY NAME” until getting gunned down by the cops

That’s the thing with Walt, you can’t just classify him as evil, good or whatever. He’s far to complex of a character to just shoehorn into one category. He’s capable of anything depending on the circumstances and his motivations vary from time to time. Walt is simply Walt
All this talk about being on Team Walt or not, I gotta say this season made me like Uncle Jack and his Neo-Nazis and I can’t fucking deny this fact otherwise. This show rapes my emotions hella. :looney:

regarding Walt’s speech to Skylar:
I didn’t really take it as seriously as most other viewers as his true thoughts. He did everything for financial security of his family. Doing that reframe talk about “liking” meth cooking and being in the business was just to shut her up. For some reason everyone watching the episode was convinced that Walt was speaking the truth when it’s in direct opposition to his mostly rational character. I say mostly because we’ve all seen how the writers in the show have occasionally made him look stupid.
regarding the criticism the finale:
More like SALT. A bunch of people can’t hold the fact that Walt accomplished everything he wanted and died on his own terms. His ownage was at Lelouche levels. Fuck, he didn’t even have to go kill the white supremacists and save Jesse but he was like, “what ev’s…”
