Ummm I’ll bring my tools and if anyone needs anything done, just let me know. I have experience with changing TE art(not doing this) and dual modding sticks. I’ll try to have a couple pcbs with me if peepz are interested. But this is probably only for saturday. doubt im going sunday. I’m only coming for sure if people PM before hand and ask. otherwise im gonna get shitfaced drunk and may not even go.
O and if anyone else wants to offer their services go ahead. Gives me more incentive to try and not go lol.
The quals will be held Fri night at the NCR venue at 9PM.
Ricky Ortiz and FChamp are auto spot on the team.
Format is round robin, 1 game vs everyone. The 3 highest scoring players are on the team. Character lock is in effect. $5 to play. All the proceeds will go towards boosting the SF4 singles pot.
I’m a little confused at the “on-the-site” registration: is it not guaranteed that people can get into the tournament or is it not guaranteed that people will be able to get into the venue (as in you will be turned away from NCR)?
Also, I’m not completely sure what the “spectator fee” was (people keep talking about it)… was it the required registration for the venue or is there like $10 on top of the 30-40 that you paid in order to get into NCR?
(like, I don’t register for the Tekken tourney… but if I wanna watch it, I have to pay $10 on top of what I paid to get into the venue (NCR)?)
Anyway, thanks in advanced.
EDIT:
Oh, okay, that’s cool…
That being said, I am confused why I kept hearing about spectating fees from other people.
EDIT EDIT:
Wait a minute: did I actually need to register to go to the venue to just watch?
I was referring to space in the final bracket for on site registration. If the brackets are full you may not be able to join that tournament.
RogerDodger covered it correctly. Spectating used to be free for everyone but the limited size of the ballroom and popularity of MvC3 has changed this. Now there is a $10 fee to get into the event if you are NOT registered to compete at NCR. If you already paid the reg fee and are competing, you have all weekend access by default and there is no additional fee. If you are not registered and just want to hang out, there is a one time $10 fee that gives you access all weekend.
In any event, cool: all confusion has been settled; thanks guys.
(what this means is that I can now get people who were hesitant about going to the thing to join: I was initially under the impression that it was like a $40 spectating fee)
