I think pac is supposed to defend his title against clottey. I think this is a good test for pac because clottey picks his spots while keeping a high guard almost similar to winky wright. If the fight does come through then I believe clottey would have a good shot at beating pac with his style.

Since using Lidocaine is banned by the NSAC but not by the WADA it would never have been tested for by the USADA (since it’s not on the WADA list of banned substances). Makes you wonder why Floyd was so insistent on an outside entity handle the drug testing.

I think its fine to use up until the week of the fight. If he went in there doped up on Lidocaine, NSAC would know. Most likely he uses it during training camp because his hands are brittle.
Also even with the extra tests being done(By USADA or whomever they decide), the NSAC is still going to carry out their business. If they got tests done by the USADA or the Agency that tests the NFL and MLB, its not going to totally override anything done by Nevada. After all, Nevada is the one sanctioning the fight. They’ll still have to give a physical 30 days before the fight or do whatever else they have to do in order to make it a NSAC sanctioned fight.

There’s a difference between thinking someone is guilty of something and having a suspicion that they’re guilty.
It’s not a case of winning a psychological battle, it’s a case of you clearing out the niggling problems before the fight takes place. The same way Cotto had his camp in Pacquiao’s locker room on fight night to make sure nothing was done to the wraps.
Easiest way of saying this is if you were in Mayweather’s situation and you have doubts over whether Pacquiao was clean or not. Would you try to establish if he’s on drugs before or after the fight?

PBF probably knew because it’s known that Pacquiao does have a huge phobia when it comes to needles being injected on him and it’s also been shown here that it does have it’s effects. Another thing is that why would Pac want to go through that type of Hassle? I’m not a PBF hater, but it’s obvious how fucked up the demand for an Olympic testing is. You can see that PBF realized the heavy caution in jumping in with Pac therefore demanded for assurance. There have been no signs of any juice being taken from Pacquiao. Pac has NO phobia of needles at all. That was 100% fabricated by Bob Arum and Freddie Roach. What Pacquaio did say was that he felt superstitious over getting a shot so close to the fight, since the last time that happened he lost.
I also am not buying the “There has been zero reason to expect that Pac is roiding”. There was no evidence that Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro, or Mark McGwire were roiding either(And there still is no evidence, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be under suspicion).
Floyd talking about Pac being easy work is just what it was. TALK. Floyd is his own promoter. He says stuff like that because he knows people will actually take everything out of his mouth 100% seriously.
I can see the mental aspect, of getting shots before a fight effecting a fighter, but as far as physical? They are both getting the same exact shots, and Pacquiao will have 2 whole weeks to get a process that took 10 whole minutes of his life, off his mind.
