I agree… the sports casters were VERY unprofessional. Just a bunch of bias, pro-pinoy idiots who know jack about boxing. They should be neutral. To give them credit though, they’ve been showing some improvements in the “neutral” part, but when i watch the news or listen AM radio, my whole celebration of Pac’s victory just gets turned off to the point that i wished Pac lost. Just for the sake of hearing them crying and probably bad mouthing the opponent and odd excuses why Pac lost - like a bunch of grade 6 kids: “oh, the ref just hated pac…” or some shit like that.
more so is mayweather himself, he said he doesn’t want to deal with bob arum. well, he doesn’t have a choice, if wants to fight pac he needs to put his ego aside. I like Pac-Man a lot, but I got Floyd taking it to him hard should they fight.
Last 3 fighters he’s faced have more or less been the same guy. Left hand dominant fighters with strong left hooks, but lacking good straight rights. Last time he fought JMM who was a slick defensive counter-puncher type, that was a life and death struggle. And as a pure boxer, there’s nobody better in the business than Mayweather
Pac-Man’s advantage being that he’s a southpaw. Last time Floyd fought a southpaw IIRC was Judah, and Judah dropped him once. Manny also has a high work rate, so regardless he won’t stop throwing no matter what happens. On the flip side, because of his work rate and throwing punches from all angles Manny seems off balance at times, which is a no-no against Floyd.

When Pac-man fought JMM he was just completely different fighter back then. If that Pacman fought Mayweather today he would get crushed but Pacman is a complete boxer now & proved that he can take welter hits from Cotto. I dont think Mayweather will have the punching power to make Pacman timid.
Either way i would love to see this fight, if Mayweather ducks then i would like to see Marquez vs Pacman III or Mosley if he beats Berto

Ricky Hatton might have been the best one, but he was a retard that wouldn’t follow his corners advice or utilize his abilities to their full extent.
I don’t think Mayweather will knock Pac out. That’s not what he does. Will he be teeing off on Manny? I don’t see any other indication as to why he wouldn’t. He’s the most accurate puncher and has the best foot work in the sport.

and yeah pac’s def become more complete from when he fought JMM, but i’m really interested in seeing what he’d try and do against mayweather. roach’s original plan to stop mayweather (for DLH) was to push him around and rough him up, which didn’t work so well and isn’t really feasible for pac so i’m interested in what tricks he’s got in the bag this time.
with the beating pac just put on cotto, there’s no way in hell i’d be interested in seeing him fight mosley…i mean i’d watch it, but i wouldn’t be happy about it. pac was talking that good shit earlier so hopefully he gets arum to play ball and they make the fight happen with PBF. the idea of a fight in the new cowboy stadium would be very interesting although idk how that venue would sell.

I dont think he’s been in the USA scene/spotlight for wayy too long, but he has definitely fought some great fighters in his time. He has definitely improved you’re right. His footwork training really helps him out and he has better game protecting his head from shots now.
I dont think many people will be ok with Pacquiao fighting anybody but Mayweather. Everybody else just seems like they are stalling it. I want the Pacquiao Mayweather fight to happen in 2010.

Just what are you talking about? After JMM, Pac has been moving up and destroying everybody, we’re talking about Dias, DLH, Hatton, and now Cotto. If you flip a few pages back, during the time Pac/Hatton was freshly done and the rumors of a new open just flowered up you’ll see allot of comments saying it was crazy for Pac to be going against Cotto. Just re-read that part of this thread and now watch the match in actual. Cotto got destroyed! Not only were The predictions/doubts against Pac wrong about him loosing but no one would expect such domination. He always dominates the people who are highly favored above him. Hatton went to sleep in the 2nd round, and Cotto’s got polymorphed and just showed some hot dance moves later on.
Pac’s advantage is that he is a one of kind boxer, much more unique than PBF. He gives rapid and intelligent performances and totally destroys opponents who appear to be stronger than him.
I was there during the pre of hatton and pac, and every body i knew was in favor of cotto. Every opposite party were always the largest and most confident side - definitely positive on their belief that Pac will loose because he does appear to be weaker during the whole promotions and pre-fights… but in the end, not only is he victorious but that damn dominant. I did expect allot more from Cotto; i expected Cotto to be putting more of fight greater than JMM - giving us Pac fans allot of suspense but no… he looked like he was warped into another world.

That Nicole chick I think is half filipina too. They are collecting them for this movie it seems. Hopefully all the movie deals wont have him kept away from his training. His training has paid off. He doesn’t seem like a completely different fighter with a completely different style from when he started showing up in the big boxing scene. But damn has he improved his game.
I agree that Roach is one of the best trainers and can find Mayweather’s weaknesses. When Pac’s not scheduled to fight anybody specific, Im sure Roach is eyein Mayweather’s fights and analyzing. He’s probably doing that right now.

just read an article interview of mayweather on him vs pac. he said he wouldn’t get credit for fighting and defeating pac 'cause pac’s already lost before plus he’s the smaller guy. a no win situation for him except for the money of course. unfortunately for him, there’s some truth to what he’s saying. but that’s mostly his fault for not fighting the bigger guys like cotto when he had the chance. i thought he only wanted the cash, now he’s worried about credits? if only he fought them all, he would have mostly likely beaten them all and have the credential he wants plus the cash. irony at it’s best i guess.
