You have a very competent Gen. Whilst you make tiny mistakes here and there, it’s no problem. We all do. Just carry on getting better, I enjoyed watching those.
I’ll just echo everyone else and say that you’re using too much meter unnecessarily, FADC on block and EX Oga for example. You want to be saving for that super or using the bars in emergencies, such as a quick Mantis AA. Gens super is such a powerful tool, using meter like that is a waste.
Other than that you’re golden. Keep posting more amigo!
1:27 - This is an example of when you should AA correctly. Seths j.HP is straight up godlike. You’re lucky he didnt use it. Just stay grounded and AA.
1:31 - Don’t forget sweep punishes.
1:34 - At this point. Crane Ultra is viable. This guy didn’t have a clue and you could have caught him here.
1:46 - Always cancel into hands if you are unsure. It’s a brilliant hitconfirm. Going into hands would of won the game for you here.
1:52 - Another chance to Super / ultra
Entire Last Round - Awesome Stuff. Personally wouldn’t of used Super there on anyone except Seth. That damage is beautiful. Amazing usage of Oga.
Thanks! I find my self using that J. Crane L.k mainly for crossunders… Should I stop using that?
Yeah I wanted to cancel into hands right there but i think i had a brain fart or lag O_O. I tried to do it once it lag left.I guess I should look for that crane ultra jump coming from seth. Noted! Thanks for feedback!
Nope. j.LK is just another tool in your arsenal. I was just applying this to the Seth MU. His air normals are scary, so I personally would never suggest anything other than your strongest air normals here. j.HP hurts.
You need to learn to hitconfirm into bnb combos from mantis j.mk or crane j.mk. You keep doing a cross-up j.mk and then…you do three c.lk’s and nothing. Also crane j.mk>s.lp>c.lk is still unsafe on block so you need to make sure the initial j.mk hits and if it doesn’t don’t do that combo. The last round was good, but honestly doing two Oga ceiling drops in a row was very dangerous. It’s obvious the Seth player wasn’t very good/no match-up knowledge because he should have atleast blocked the second one after getting hit by the first one and punish you but he didn’t.
I think it was a good calculated risk for that match specifically. That Seth player (Like pretty much all Seth players) Showed hardly any fundamentals. He just did illogical shit the entire game, he knew combos and that was it. I think that after the first Oga hit (A very obvious and easily blockable one at that) Hit him, I just would of thought if its worked this many times its going to work again.
I do do that but when its lagging i dont wanna risk a dp from Seth that’s why I went for the crouching lows. When its not lagging i go for the bnb combo from mantis…I do need to stop crane risky combo. Its just a bad habbit really…thanks for the feed back i am trying to get better at my decisions. If i thought he knew more about the match up i wouldn’t have abused the oga like that.
Regardless, bad habits must be weeded out as early as possible. If you don’t, you will sometimes fall back on it even against skilled players and it might cost you the game in that case. I had this problem in 3rd strike where I would keep doing ‘kara’ raging demons after a blocked sweep, it’s just not good to do these things so much they’ ll become an autopilot thing, y’know?
I see you dont know how to finish the gekiro, you need to master that
1:42 be mindful of your meter, a simple super to ultra would have killed the guy.
Obviously the seth was a noob but dude you ned to work on your bnb. its quite off at the moment and I see you are not confident in your mixup and rely much on playing safe with blockstrings, that will not get you far in the competition.
Whoa…whoa i know how to finish the Gekiro…Its call lag man i cant control that factor :…The final round I finish it. and in my other videos as well. That was a bit harsh…
Yeah i do need to be more mindful of it your right about that…I will try not to forget that…
I am confident in my mixup game its just lag does have a point in online matches. So sometimes i play it safe…I need record it Live so you guys can see the lag as well.
Thanks for the apology! I really appreciate you advice! I am trying to break all of my bad habits and continue growing. I would like to do good in this tourney next week and there is another on coming up after that on the 4th and & 5 of aug…Before then I am trying to level my skills up.
