Boondocks Season 3

I’ve actually always wondered what was Al Quieda’s ultimate goal and what motivates them to do what they do, but every time I ask these questions, like Mos Def during that show, no one really answers me or just look at me like I’m some kind of unAmerican monster. I’m pretty sure I’m on Homeland security’s shit list.
I kinda rolled my eyes when Mo resorted to the ol’ “I’m black, I’m from the streets blah blah blah.” angle.

I also don’t believe everything the media tries to shove down my throat, I would just like to know the full story if that’s even possible.

Episode was pretty good and I like that it mixed the tone of season 1 with the humor of season 2 (not saying season 1 wasn’t funny).

I saw the dick diding Obama before like everyone else but two other things that cracked me up were Riley talking about how he’s gonna act a fool when Obama gets elected. Also the fat black woman at the car wash, anytime she says anything I’m rolling. “Why don’t you like Obama? He has a beautiful family.” “Not according to this little nigga.”

This episode really should have aired about a year ago though.

Because he granddad disowned him, people were burning his image in public because he expressed indifference. For somebody that fights for freedom it’s a kick in the teeth when people want to burn you at the stake for expressing an opinion.

People assuming McGrudger dislikes Obama based on the episode actually makes the whole thing funnier as essentially the episode highlighted that people had no middle ground you were either in full support or hating.

Werner Herzog in Boondocks was epic.

Preview for an upcoming ep. sorry if it was already posted-

OMG

Spoiler

I thought ‘no homo’ was an SRK only thing, WTF SRK!

Do you live under a rock?

No just not in America.

My bad. Anyway I loled when I saw that clip, it irks me any time someone says no homo ‘‘Nice trainers, no homo’’ ‘‘You got your hair cut no homo’’, ‘‘He’s a kind guy no homo’’.

But if thats the case and Huey is supposed to reflect some of his opinions and thoughts why was Huey so determined to leave the country when Obama got elected?

He didn’t plan to leave the country until people started burning dummies of him in public.

which is totally obnoxious, “oh i’m being persecuted because I don’t dickride obama”, shit?

Are some of you guys really confused about his motives in the episode?
I mean, people were burning giant dummies of him, and trying to gang up on him and beat his ass in the streets. This is not complicated stuff. If anything, it’s a “dumbed down” episode, compared to most of McGruder’s work, IMO.

It was a pretty fantastic episode. Ruckus with the apparent cease & desist towards the end, having to refer to his family as “beautiful” but still managing to sneak “monkey” in there, was pretty classic.

edit: The Mos Def semi-parody was pretty hilarious, too. I’m surprised he took that route, to be honest. That was probably the most shocking thing to me.

Grandad probably went through similar stuff back through the Civil rights movement. He didn’t leave.

You can’t really go into hypotheticals with a series like this, each episode has a theme that the characters are meant to revolve around, it’s not Roots 2.0. Not to mention Huey is still a kid.

Actually he got was a pat on the back and a ‘‘stay out of trouble n*gger’’ whilst Rosa Parks made history.

Obviously the scene was an exaggeration of behaviour. It’s a bit foolish to say he’s being obnoxious too when the scene with Huey wasn’t reflecting his life and people’s response towards him it was a reflection of people’s abrasive approach to dissenting opinions.

He isn’t incorrect, if the jokes were cracked at George Bush or McCaine I doubt people would question a thing.

But he said he was being chased by dogs and whipped them with his belt while Jesse Jackson was hiding in the dumpster.

Nah yo. You have to watch one of the older episodes, I can’t remeber which one. Grandad was never around when shit went down. During a protest, he left to get his rain coat so he wouldn’t get wet. When he got back, his friends were beaten, wet and had been bitten by dogs. They were pissed at him and he still tries to claim credit for being in the struggle. I think there were 2 or 3 instances of this, but he was always a poser.

How can so much that was explicitly stated, have gone over your head?
