Anyway I dont have the will to finish this so im just uploading what I have left… Some more combos with strider, note most these were suppose to be bigger, and dont need orb to start , but I just dont feel like redoing em’.

Oh and I guess if it matters yes throws combo on block too.
Finger cramp tutorial doesn’t really cover much that most people don’t know at this point but every lil bit helps. Oh and as an aside, you might wanna consider using spoiler tags for the gameplay, combos and guides sections since its gonna get real unruly real soon.
i think you should try to keep formB loaded, or try to cancel ground block strings into formb and shooting to keep the pressure on. You could of done the gram loop in the corner instead of doing launch bc excalibur…etc does more damage. other than that your movement was pretty good, kinda hard to avoid wolv and that sent assist behind him.
Whoa, Look The BnB you wanna perform with Strider is the: magic-series, launch, Sj, mp, J.Fw, mp, hp, land, Call/Shoot formation B to options. Options 1: Continue the combo Options 2: Summon formation B go for mix/reset. It’s sloppy mixing up with qcf+S (Wall Cling), just go for normal teleports/Assist mixups and implement your pressure from those options.
BCE I also play that team but in a different order. I use Strider/ Wekser/ Ryu. I call it my “strider practice” team. I figured the best way to learn Strider was not as an anchor but just play him on point. Ryu’s tatsu assist is great for Strider and for Wesker as well. I didn’t watch your video though, I just to don’t think I’d learn as much from Strider anchors as from someone who plays him 2nd or on point.
Do you use him 1st or second in any of the matches? Or are there any highlights from the video notable for Strider amazingness?
the extreme low damage potencial of strider without xf3 is REALLY anoying.
yeah he can make lots and lots of resets, but i prefer an 1kk life + 800k damage point char as ryu then a 750k and 450-550 damage as strider
Strider with xf3 is WAY more scarier than wesker, his vajra becomes truly safe on block and he can kill anyone with a ridiculous easy BnB + ragnarok or kill a team with ouroboros
strider in xf3 is good, but there is no good way to build a team for that.
if its 1\2\strider and say 1 dies, now its only 2\strider. Strider doesn’t come out fast enough to create good fast pins, he doesn’t take out any projectiles, he does miss often for his assist so it can totally useless to you for over 2 seconds. You’re basically allowing your 2 character to just die for free then let strider win the game in xf3. Strider assist does 1 thing and that 1 thing it does, it doesn’t even do it perfectly well not to mention that it can be utterly destroyed on reaction against most top tier characters.
look @ 1\wesker\akuma. If 1 dies, wesker\akuma is fantastic still. Pin mixups, beats projectiles, doesn’t randomly miss when he’s in a good spot and it gives overall functional team chemistry. 1\2\strider doesn’t respect the team chemistry rules if 1 dies. if somehow you can save 1 and its 2\1\strider, that is a far better role for 2 but now if 2 dies, its 1\strider again. No character in this game likes to use strider as their only assist that has to cover everything.
xf3 strider is good, but I don’t see any builds that allow him to chill in the back and have him aid towards the other half of a duo if the fight doesn’t go your way. Your basically shitting all over your team chemistry to have 1 good character in xf3.
not exactly, the hard knock down of vajra assist is PERFECT for wesker, cause wesker can self otg and combo, the same can be for those chars whose can self otg, but that is not my team, ryu/wesker/strider is in this order because strider is almost useless to ryu, but ryu cause a great damage as point and is also great to punish assists, once he die, i have a great wesker/strider team, anyone of those two as xf3 is scary, so… lets kill ryu first =D
Lots of characters do the same damage as Ryu and can punish assists lol. I think a more fitting point character for that team would be maybe Viper. She can do some okay unblockables with Wesker and can capitalize off of Vajra with seismo. And although I can see how you would use Wesker in that team, I honestly think he’s the weakest in the second spot. He sucks to DHC into. Instead, maybe a character like Doom would benefit more in that spot. It would give Viper (Or Ryu, whatever) the lockdown assist they were lacking with rocks, while also giving you the pairing of Doom/Strider if your point character dies.
