Finally saw the perpetrator of the glowing death orb things.
Also holy crap this game has way better variety environmentally than the initial experience leads you to think.
It’s ok, it’s a small damage boost and a small rally(orange health regain) boost. I don’t think the quest “uses up” the item though so probably just keep it for now.
Without spoiling it could someone guide me where to go next? I beat the boss in the woods, unless there is another cause the area is massive, and got to a point where it dead ends. I just got past the area with the shimmering pool of poison. I’m trying not to use a guide, but have been wandering for over an hour.
I haven’t played a horror game, if you consider this horror, but there has been so many moments when I come across something new where I just want to avoid it altogether.
Lol that’s what I love about this one, there’s always something crazy around the corner. Just when you think you got it, NOPE.
Anyway, I never went past that pool so I’m not sure but there is a path to continue in the forest itself. If you’re really that stuck just start hugging a wall. Or even try summoning help, unless you prefer to not do that.
I can’t use my summoning bell in the woods I guess because I beat the boss? The pool itself isn’t large, but I might check it again to see if I am missing anything.
Nothing is more infuriating in this game than hitting an enemy within a pixel of their health with a heavy attack and assuming they’ve died because their hitstun animation is the same as their death animation, and then they hit you and kill you because you let your guard down.
I keep swinging just in case, usually. You get health back for hitting them even after they’ve died as long as your weapon is still making contact. So there’s really no loss.
The place I’m in is the Blighttown of Blighttown. But also without lanterns. I’m running out of items. Also this is the first place I encountered a naturally occurring Bell Maiden. There’s no way to leave without killing the boss I think.
