Has anyone tried Shaman Bone Knife-something on the Living Failures. I think it’d be funny to watch.

It’s not really a pure ARC build with 20 STR IMO. I mean pure ARC as in hunter tools and items being the main source of damage. Like, I’m going for 50/99 in VIT/ARC

To be fair, this is as pure as you can get without going too high in levels. I’ve capped myself a t 115 for PvP reasons, so 50 arc is as high as I’m going to go.

I just double checked and you’re right, 50/99 is over the meta at 135 so I’m probably going to leave ARC at 89 then as 120-125 is very common(though you can find PvP anywhere form 100 to 150). Point is, it’s not really “pure” ARC if you’re going to bring any other stat up past weapon equip requirements AND ARC tools aren’t your main source of damage. 20/50 is definitely a hybrid type.

Edit: Also, keep in mind when I say pure ARC, I mean hunter tools are the main source of damage, and hunter tools continue to scale well PAST 50 ARC unlike weapons using ARC scaling. There’s also the fact that they buffed scaling gems, especially for STR and ARC, so if you get good cold gems it can help out your melee weapon damage a bit even when going beyond 50.

I see. Either way, my point is that having a decent weapon goes a long way while leveling up an Arc build. Even having minimal stats for Whirligig was good enough to carry me through the majority of the game. Don’t need to level up Arcane until later. I’m not sure how you maintain bullets in a pure Arcane build though.

Got it. I only disagreed with calling that pure ARC because a pure ARC build has very different options and generally doesn’t want to waste so many points on other stats

And yeah, what deeque said. There’s multiple runes that give either health or vials(for blood bullets), or bullets themselves back.

Got bored 5 mins into Demon’s Souls, got as far as Spider Queen thingy in Dark Souls and forgot about the game. Bought Dark Souls 2 but never touched it.

Do you guys think Bloodborne would be a good fit for me?

It’s possible, I couldn’t get into any of the three games prior to bloodborne. I ended up playing bloodborne for 60 hours from start to finish in 2-3 weeks.

@ SWBeta: Ehhh, I dunno. I mean I enjoy it more than the other souls games. There’s more emphasis on getting good with your chosen weapon and less emphasis on stat building and utility skills. But it’s still a game about being observant, managing stamina, rolling through attacks, looking for openings to attack, etc. If you didn’t like the other souls games because of the strong RPG elements, then this is essentially the perfect game for you. If you’re hoping for a game more like Devil May Cry, God of War, or Onimusha, then Blood Born probably isn’t a good pick for you.

Yeah I just beat that fire motherfucker right now. First form is actually not bad once you see through the movements. Second form is ass, but then I forgot to play unlocked. Perhaps it would have been much easier then.

Finally beat Kos last night. Felt good. Fight is still random to me tho…On to Laurence! I tried him a few times last night didn’t seem to bad outside of the one shot kills…

Idk man, for me his first phase was very doable. I’d routinely get to the 2nd phase without a problem and basically not lose any vials. Hell vials werent an issue for me for majority of the fight. Phase 2 he would spam the lightning call while chasing me around the shore even when I tried to stay close and in his face lol I just literally never could get a break to do anything. Then again I might have been under-leveled. I was only 110 or so on NG+I just read earlier 50 vitality is recommended for ng+ haha

Kos is very predictable.

His only real strengths are his awkward hit boxes on shit.
