Is this your first souls game? What is very important in this game in particular is getting the timing and the combat down. Use the beginning section to work on parrying and dodging attacks. That big mallet wielding motherfucker at the beginning is a good guy to practice on. There is a bunch of stuff that will make it easier, like figuring out how the health regan system works and what not but first and foremost get comfortable with a weapon and the combat system.
Hrm you can parry like in souls? What do I press? Use to Xbox controllers lol. Getting attack patterns down would be easier if like I said if they didnāt give this axe dude 10 different attacks with varying speeds/distances lol. Was finally like fuck him only to go a bit farther and get clobbered by his sneaky brick wielding cousin lol. Yo that big retard totally snuck me when I was fighting the dogs/goons and he one shotted me after I had almost cleared them out.

Yo the Boom Hammer is SO FREAKING AWESOME. Itās a simple idea but it just looks so freaking cool and itās moveset is really good for groups

Do you guys know if thereās supposed to be more dlc to come or is this it? Kinda looking to pick up the bf sale copy for $20, but I think I might have seen something like a disc with the dlc bundled kinda like Dark Souls Scholar of the First Sin, or might hold out for a digital copy.
This is the first and only DLC for bloodbourne. The team is working on dark souls 3. (At least that is what we have been told)
You can pick up the game from GameStop for 20 bucks tomorrow.
Iād like FromSoftware to do something happy and upbeat for once, something bright with lots of colors. Or at the very least, use a different theme like steampunk or at least something faster, like Old Hunter Bone + Blades of Mercy fast.
Iām wondering if anyone else plays bloodborne the āwrongā way like me.
This is basically how Iām playing the DLC and how I played the nightmare of mensis where I get too frustrated from dying all the tiime.
So normally Iāll start off and Iāll play it safe and try not to die, itās pretty intense and thereās a sense of dread. Eventually I get really far and die and lose like 20-30k of souls/echos. I try my best to make it back to the area where I died to retrieve my souls (who wants to lose 30k of souls). Most likely I wonāt make it that far and I will die again before retrieving my loss soulsā¦so when I spawn again I have 0 and can only retrieve like 1k of soulsā¦basically I go yolo at this point and just run past every enemy until I get to the point where I died again.
Thereās no point in working extra hard, killing every guy along the way that Iāve already killed before, spending vials and bullets. Iām more concerned with reaching the next lamp or check point.
How is that the āwrong way to playā? If youāre beating the game and youāre not doing some dumb shit like glitching your way to victory, who cares.
I run past shit all the time in Souls games. Sometimes I just plain donāt need to bother killing the enemies, sometimes Iām just fed up and donāt want to spend all that time chopping through mobs again. shrug
Short answer, you arenāt playing the wrong way. Skipping enemies is sometimes the best route through a dense area. Also, donāt horde souls/blood echoes. If you are trying to level up specifically, spend them as soon as you have enough for the next level.

Currently trying to beat Amelia on NG+ so I can access the DLC.
I have a root Loran chalice that has a Lost Hunter Axe on the 1st floor and an uncanny Beast Claw on the 2nd floor so far. Glyph is kwdu2cp6. Itās got a fetid offering and rotted offering.
The DLC looks good. Not $19 good though.
8-10 hours of gameplay, 16 new weapons and new costumes. Itās well worth itās price.
Regarding boss battlesā¦ fuck Ludwig. Fuck him. I canāt be the only person who gets comboād to death everytime I get knocked down. Fucker always hits me 3 times before I can get up.
Finally got the new character (Hus Bando) up to level 70, so I will finally get my ass into the DLC. So hype! Gonna stream it too if anyone wants to watch.
Just finished the last DLC boss. The Research Hall/Clocktower section leading up to the fight with Maria was the peak IMO, the village level and boss after that were gravy.
Overall fucking awesome, makes me wish Bloodborne 2 or more DLC was coming soon.
