what i don’t understand is why is it $20 per person? It’s not even a major for Tx or is it? Is this the first monsters arcade official tournament? Is this a pay to play arcade or is it console friendly? Will there be freeplay after the tourney? Do we have to stay the same character the whole tourney or can we change between matches? Like against different teams. Against team A i pick chun then we win then against team C i pick rufus? SO… answer these please… Especially the costs…

I’ve been to A LOT of tournaments and that’s a pretty standard price. There will be casuals starting at noon and assuming everything finishes in a timely fashion casuals all day after. It is at a console center, so everything is free to play all day.

Usually Monster’s charges $10 to play all day.

You must use the same character throughout the entire tournament. You can switch ultras whenever you please.

We did go to a pretty good mexican place close-by once and I know there’s a CiCi’s. But I don’t live up there so I don’t really know.

The venue just told me BYOB is fine. There will also be a BBQ going on that day.

And yes you can switch order. Teams will play RPS before each match. If your team wins RPS you can either decide if you want 1P/2P side OR you can force the losing team to tell you which character they are sending first. Losing team does the other.

It’s that restaurant that we found on the way back from Absolute Battle last year. It’s off of Veterans Memorial and the fajita nachos are the best I have ever had anywhere. Other items though, try at your own risk.
