I made this quick tutorial for anyone who is looking for a sneaky Kara Super setup, it also shows an easy way to perform the Kara F+HK Super.

It really is worth learning. Super duper easy, just don’t forget to delay the HP or you’re wasting 4 bars.

Yeah, with the KKK macro button it’s extremely easy. The hardest part is timing the delay, but even that isn’t hard. It’s barely any harder than just performing a regular Super, to be honest.

That’s good to hear. I guess I’ll start out with the macro button and learn the “legit” buttons if I get bored someday. How tricky does it feel to do it with the standard 6 buttons?

On a serious note, I can’t think of any reason why you would do it with standard 6 when it’s so easy/consistent to use the KKK button. It’s much faster and as far as I’m aware there aren’t any advantages to doing it the “real” way.

I live in socal, so there’s always a chance I’ll end up playing on arcade at some point where you can’t use the macro. I don’t go to them much though, so it’s not a big deal.

Ah yes, arcades, I forgot. They don’t exist in Missouri so that didn’t even cross my mind :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought most of them (at least for SF4) had 8 button layouts though?

why not just press KKK manually?

EDIT: I am using a madcatz stick, can this be done by doing lpx2 ~ F+KKK ~ HP ?

Good point. That would work just the same probably still be easier than doing them sequentially/manually. I hadn’t thought of these little things since I just use my KKK macro. I think you’re right though it should be identical and still faster / easier to do by hitting k+k+k even without a macro button.

Yeah, since I do miss at times trying to pull those off by doing the normal method which is lpx2 F+lk~hk~hp plinks. F+KKK should be easier for me.

No, the official Viewlix cabs have 7 buttons with the extra button usually just replaced with a plug like this:

But even if you had an arcade cab with 8 buttons, I doubt it’d let you use them. It doesn’t have a button config screen, etc. like console.

Well, you can always just do what EQ mentioned and hit all 3 kicks, it should work exactly the same way.

Did a bit of training with the kara super tonight. Doesn’t seem too tough, but it’ll definitely take me some time until pulling this out in a match becomes second nature.

Also in my testing, I may have come up with another good setup for using this: cr.LK(LP), cr.LP, st.LP -> Kara Demon. The way I executed this was to do the crouch moves at normal speed, then press jab twice very fast to get 2 inputs during the single stand jab, then fwd + KKK ~ HP. Is this already a known setup? If not, give it a shot and let me know what you think.

Do we have any details on how many frames it takes for the Kara demon to activate?
If you can activate it just as they come out of hit stun surely you have a grab that’s only escapeable by jumping?
