What are some of your favorite Adon block strings? What type of situations can you setup from your strings like frame traps or mindgames? I just started learning him and I was looking for some influence.

Adon doesn’t have tight block strings like yun [no rapid cancels] unless you do something like j.HK into another move [j.HK has gobs of blockstun], c.LP or s.LP. What I typically do if I think someone is trying to break through my regular strings [j.HK or j.MK, c.LK, c.LP] is do j.HK, c.MP xx MK Jaguar Tooth. If they reversal, you are far enough away that you usually won’t get hit, but will be close enough once you land to punish.

c.LP, c.LP, c.LP, c MP, c HP
Up to the MP is a real block string. The HP catches a lot of people off guard as they think it’s over and ends up as an os against backdashing/throws/slow atks/etc. On block, you gain even more space than c MP would give. Not recommended against characters with DP’s.
cr.LP, cr.LP is NOT a blockstring, you cant chaincancel it. It has +2 on block and 3 frames startup, so mashed reversals go through it.
So I imagine cr.lp, cr.mp would be better for the mashed reversals (I HATE THOSE DAMN THINGs…even though I do it too

cr lp , cr mp is a frame trap then mashed reversal works , it works everywhere against Adon because he doesn’t have really block string except close lp , far lp I guess.

c.lp, c.lp is a frametrap as well.
If it’s not a blockstring, it’s automatically a frametrap (might be a bad one sometimes ofc)
