Yeah I played Reinhardt for the first time and boy was I sleeping on him. That dude is so much god damn fun. Favorite moment so far is probably using his slash ability to one shot a rip tire coming towards my team, and using it to double kill a Torbjorn and a Tracer in the same shot. The charge is unbelievably satisfying to use too. Nothing like walking towards a turret mode Bastion and then charging knowing he can’t do shit about it. Reminds me of the charger from L4D2.
Of course, for every decent Reinhardt, there’s 5 ADD addled idiots who run off and chase the first enemy they see, leaving the objective/payload.
I enjoy Reinhardt but I see many others don’t. I have turned the tide at the end of Kings Row pushing with a well timed ultimate and murdering, then shield.
Also I have gotten gold on Eliminations.
I’ve gotten Symmetra a bunch. Best case is Anubis defend. To attackers left is that little room. I turreted 3 inside, 3 on the inner exit as well. and just lob charged balls.
Also her primary builds up over time so I can and do go after tanks and often kill them. I play her much more aggressively than I probably should.
Roadhog I need to check, I think I got a screen shot. It was defending Hollywood. Team died, 5 seconds or so on the clock and I get into the capture point and ult push/kill everyone out of it and hook/kill D.Va right as the clock stops.
I dont recall if I got a potg as Widow but I have seen it, on other team and couldnt hate. 3-4 clean kills back to back.
Nah, both consoles are origins only by default. the only preorder bit is the Black Widow skin. Only PC had non-origins available.
Yeah I killed a few Reinhardt’s as Symmetra during the beta. I mostly did it on Numbani though. I feel like that’s her best map.
I’ve killed at least one of everyone with Symmetra.
She can be played somewhat offensively pretty well as an ambush and team-kill(as in with other teammates around to draw attention away from her) character. If you get into her range and you don’t shake her off immediately she’ll demolish you. If you don’t pay attention to where she is outside of your range you might get one-shotted by her mega-buster. You have turrets around in either situation and she’s even deadlier.
She’s no assault but you can put in work if you play her right, though again that isn’t really her main thing.

Winstons now sitting at 1k hp with infinite leap and barriers and ult charges ultra fast so you can pop it when you’re at like 200 hp and heal back to full all the way to 2k hp.
Not even infinite flight pharah can escape a infinite leap winston. This dude has even better aerial mobility.
I don’t get the hype around this game. Made the mistake of buying it even after not liking the beta. The gameplay/movement (walking and sprinting) seems very watered down compared to what we usually get from an FPS today. Is the fact that the game is easy to pick up why it’s so popular? Is it due to the fact it’s a Blizzard game? I’m inclined to believe it’s a mix of the two but moreso the latter. I’m curious to hear why some people in this thread like the game so much.
Does Lucio have instant bullets or delayed ones? Hitscan or whatever you guys call it.
And how is Mercy? I just got her Valkyrie skin.
Game is mad fun. It’s an FPS with spells, with a character that appeals to everyone, with interesting, detailed characters and environment.
This game is alive and bursting with personality. Best played with friends.

Most people think it’s really fun and enjoy playing it.
You just happen to be in the minority that doesn’t. Sometimes there are big things that people don’t really enjoy as much as most people, it’s not unheard of.
It’s been pretty easy for me to get a group of 6 friends out of like maybe 10 people that are all willing to also group to play one thing. In short for me it’s a very fun group game and due to the popularity among casuals its very easy for me to gather up those groups at the moment. Rather than say… Killing Floor 1-2, Unreal Tournament (4), etc…
Every character is different. If you want movement speed try tracer. She gets 3 blinks in any direction she wants and then can take it all back with her 5 second spell. She can dodge into a fight, get a quick kill, then dodge right back out. It isn’t easy by any means but I mean, she has the mobility you are looking for.
Soldier 76 has an all day run/sprint that doesn’t wear off or cooldown, lucio has a spell that not only makes him fast, but his entire team as well and I’m not sure but it’s either a HUGE aoe, or global.
Winston can leap, widow maker can use a grappling hook, phara can fly etc etc.
No, Lucio’s bullets don’t hitscan, his 4-shot burst has a fairly slow travel time. Perfect example of hitscan is Soldier: 76’s primary fire… His bullets have no travel time.
And Mercy is stupidly good like pretty much all the support characters.
The effects of his Crossfade are in an AoE. It tells you underneath his crosshairs how many people are being affected by his healing or speed boost. They have to be at a decent range and in line of sight.
D.VA can fly too. Also Lucio is AOE based, but yeah it’s a pretty big area.
Movement speed varies character to character, but the somewhat lower movement speed is meant to give incentive to play Lucio and Symmetra(teleporter), as well as give teams a bit of breathing room for capturing areas and shit you’d never make any progress on a capture if somebody jumps right back into the point immediately after respawn. Of course, they can do that, but not without help.
Ooh, figured out how to abuse Lucio’s wallriding on pad whilst still getting to aim correctly. Simply just swap the buttons for his Primary Ability and Jump (Halo players call it Bumper Jumper apparently but same shit applies), takes a few games and a little training time to get used to, but it’s fully worth it. Now I can move on PS4 as good as I can move on my Desktop.
