The problem is, if Reaper gets in TOO easily, he becomes god tier. Most heroes’ only option is to shut him down before he gets into range. He does need a mobility buff, but mostly so he can move with a dive setup like Tracer/Genji can.

Forgot to never play comp on the weekend.

I healed 1,5k more as Zenyatta compared to my team’s Mercy in comp and got killed because enemy team got 100 % focus on all the time yet I’m the problem according to my team.

Holy shit comp is cancer on the weekend. Almost indistinguishable from QP. Quad DPS teams, sqeakers, teammates so bad they may as well be throwing, people who think “we need a tank” means switch to Roadhog, etc.

My favorite is some 13 year old DPS main telling other people to switch off DPS despite being total garbage himself. Then we have some dude continuing to play Sym past first point and doing jack shit.

Then another game where me(Rein) and our other tank are getting more picks than our 3 teammates playing DPS. It was so bad that at one point I was getting focused by 5 people and non of our DPS could get picks despite having the entire enemy team’s backs to them for a good 10 seconds. Me, Mercy, and Zarya die on point in overtime and DPS are still at spread out doing god knows what.

I stopped doing that with Rein after I picked up Mercy as a secondary. I feel so stupid playing a charge happy Rein now.

Got silver damage as Lucio the other night in QP. On a quad DPS team loll

Carrying teams with Tracer is so damn easier than doing it with Pharah. You aren’t a giant target that says “KILL ME” the entire time, you can escape ults and CC with recall and you can retreat to safety basically whenever you want. A lot of people complain about Pharah being OP but few realize how ridiculous a good Tracer can be.

I’m still trying to figure out who can I carry with as I’m breaking away from Symmetra for a while. I didn’t realize there wasn’t a limit on hacking health pack and how that along with frequent EMP’s can control the match. Last night during a few games in Lijang, I kept hacking health packs and picking off supports and I actually had fun.

Yeah I like Sombra but I can’t stand the spread on her gun. You can’t even manage it like you can with Soldier and burst fire unless you stop shooting for almost a full two seconds.

Two Mercy mains arguing lmao

Okay, so how viable is the 3 Tank - 3 Healer comp? Because this chick I play with last night kept reiterating that had we gone that comp, we would’ve steamrolled our games, but only because of her experiences. To clarify, she kept stating, “Well whenever I play 3 tank-3 healer, we almost always steamroll” while trying not to come off as bossy. I then stressed to her that not only would we need some DPS, but that not everyone can be good at tanking or healing. I’m not saying that players can’t be flexible, but if the tanks can’t mitigate the team damage and the healers can’t keep the tanks alive then it’s not worth it.

On Dorado, she also requested that I go Zen instead of Ana (almost being hesitant about my Ana) for the sake of discord and DPS, which was fine, but after I switched from Ana after seeing two tanks on the opposing team (D.Va and Zarya), I switched to Zen. However, no one capitalized on the discords and we lose 2-3. Mind you, she was D.Va and didn’t even bother to wait to self-destruct when I told her to hold back until I launch my Graviton. I don’t even think anyone on Lijang even took advantaged my EMP’s or health packs, and we almost had in the control center.

Eventually, on Anubis, I go Soldier and try to force the Bastion out of position on the first point, later attempt to take the high ground on the right of the second point. We win when the enemy Mercy rezzed and I rush in from above to ult and get a quad kill. On Defense, I go Symmetra, we keep the point and win the match. It’s aggravating because I at least want to climb into gold before the season ends (1963 SR right now). I don’t know whether to just solo queue or just practice more with Mercy, Sombra, Soldier, Hog, Zarya, and Sym since those heroes can carry/kinda carry.

I’m no pro but at least on paper three tanks and three supports doesn’t really do any damage. Might work against an unorganised team that doesn’t focus fire (which I guess should be kinda common at silver rank) but it’s not a composition that’s going to ‘steamroll’ against a half-decent team. If anything it’s pretty much designed to do the exact opposite: stall.

You’re right it stalls but it stalls for unstoppable damage with nano boost and creates wipes and opportunities with Rein or Zarya Ult. It’s also incredibly annoying attempting to kill D.va/Winston with non-stop harmony orbs and Ana heals. That’s a big part of the teams strength. Large health pools with shields and triple heals allow it to be far more aggressive than a regular comp as Rein and Zarya can attack fairly freely without dying.

3-3 was a legit comp in season 3 at the beginning of the tank meta. The lack of damage was compensated by 1. Zen’s discord orb 2. Zen’s DPS 3. the other healers keeping Zarya alive and allowing her to stay on high energy, which makes her DPS skyrocket 4. Hog’s ridiculously broken hook. The strength of this comp is in the damage mitigation and the fact that it allows to make more mistakes since you die less easily. The typical 3-3 comp would’ve been Zarya, Hog, Rein, Ana, Lucio, Zen.
The comp is less viable right now because most of the heroes you would use in it had their damage nerfed in some way and there are more ways past comps that heavily rely on Rein’s shield. I think a dive comp destroys that for instance.

It would use Winston a lot due to how powerful he is with Zarya Ult. It switched up with D.Va when she took over. It’s not played like it used to be because people have adapted, it’s not just nerfs. You see more Pharah etc.

It’s still viable though. Some team comps have low DPS and can’t compete with it. Lucio does a lot more damage now and heals more in a death ball tank comp. The Koreans in particular are keeping D.va relevant as a backline bodyguard character to protect Zenn/Ana from Tracer.

I don’t think any comp is just an instant win right now but 3 heals 3 tanks is viable.

Zarya carries like a motha. Especially with over aggressive teammates. It’s actually a win win for you. You protect them from things like hook and flash bang which allows them to win a fight they other wise would have not. And you get charge. Also jumping in front of a teammate under fire and using barrier is a great way to get charge. There’s no way for them to anticipate that and not shoot your bubble and you save your teammate.

I climbed to 2300. But then fell way off down to 1711. Now I’ve climbed back to 1820 and I saw what my issue was. I kept swapping heroes. Instead of playing my best which is Zarya. I would always swap to try to make a proper team comp. I’d go Mercy, Or Ana. Or play another tank like Rein or Winston while some else goes DVa or takes Zarya etc. But Now that I said fuck it I’m sticking with Zarya unless the situation forces me to change. I’ve actually been carrying solo que games. And Dva and Zarya surprisngly are a solid Tank set up with ult combo as well. The only down side is no protection against ults like Dva’s. But my barrier shut down rip tire when I can’t shoot it down. Just save the Mercy then allow her to Rez. Same with enemy Dva bomb.

Sometimes it truly is better to just let folks play with who they are best with. regardless of the comp. At least at lower levels. Unles they are being super dumb like Attack Torb on hollywood. But then again enemy team could be bad enough for that to work

3-3 works with specific heroes:
[] Ana can at least discourage a Pharah from going ham
[
] Zen’s own DPS and Discord Orb are valuable
[] Lucio makes up for the lacking mobility of grounded tanks, AoE heals, and outputs decent damage now
[
] DO NOT RUN MERCY WITH TRIPLE TANKS (tanks can’t use her damage boost well most of the time)
[] D.Va (and Winston) are good for a more dive-y comp but you just can’t get enough mobility in 3-3 for actual dives to happen
[
] Rein helps cover your healers so they can maintain LoS to battle tanks and enemies
[] Roadhog and Zarya are meant to get most of the kills due to their massive damage potential
[
] Orisa is good at spamming down shields to set up your Roadhog/Zarya but tanks don’t get as much value from her barriers due to their size
The classic Rein/Hog/Zarya/Ana/Zen/Lucio team still totally works if everyone knows how to play their characters. For a more annoying team, I think you could run Orisa/Zarya with one of Winston/D.Va. Healers can pocket the shit out of Winston/D.Va while they wreck the back line, Orisa shits damage to the front, and Zarya can bubble Winston/D.Va and protect healers from flanks.

3 tank 3 healer hasn’t really been reliable since Ana was Jesus holding a sniper rifle.

Ok Sym can you switch
Sure (Switches to Soldier)
No can you play another healer?
No I can only use Mercy (who’s taken)
Can you play a tank and I’ll play support?
No I can only use Roadhog

Not gonna lie I wanted to stab this kid. Dude got picked literally less than ten seconds into the game. On my team twice in a row no less whilst being the only Plat on a team of Diamonds. You can only play one support and your only tank is another DPS.

Please kill yourself dude, or at least stay the fuck off comp until you can actually play.

Getting this much of a superiority complex in Plat/Diamond range
