I still think the chapter where Ulquiora transformed into bat mode was the worst example of decompression in this manga. This chapter was pushing it though.

I keep wondering what the other Captains are doing but this writer has to gloss over and ignore most of what’s going on elsewhere. Like, are the Vizard captains trying to use Hollow powers on these guys? From what was shown they’re not even bothering with it. Seems like anything Hollow-related would get bodied free by these Quincies anyway, but who knows.
Isn’t Hitsu’s shikai just an ice dragon? Which captains got straight up mollywhopped besides Byakuya and Yama? I forget what happened to Captain Dog or if he was even shown.
