Yeah, I don’t think that “White Haired Pretty Boys Are Strong” applies to Bleach despite it being surprisingly prominent Japanese trope. All the characters with white hair that aren’t old (read: Yamamoto) tend to get their asses kicked: Hitsugaya, Ukitake, Gin, etc. Of those three, Hitsugaya is generally “a bitch”, Ukitake is “a bitch” to tuberculosis and Gin, while not “a bitch”, managed to get killed like one.
Even Kensei or whoever Hisagi looks to enough to get that stupid 69 tattoo’d on his face went out like “a bitch” to Wonderweiss despite being the most competent of the Vizards.
Honestly can’t think of any silver-haired characters who were actually bad guys, but if there were any, that just means they went down even harder to the point that they don’t mentally register at all.
The only other silver haired colored person I believe is Ishida’s father who is a quincy. Combine that with the quincy that ichigo fought in bizzaro mexico who mention of ishida being stronger than he is. Maybe the father really is the mask behind this quincy attack.

Who is to say which is the good or bad side? They originally were just two different ideas on how to kill hollows. Quincy was destroy those MFers and shinigami wanted to keep “balance” and free them so they can come to soul society. Neither side was really good or bad, but doing the same job.
Then remember that the shinigami pretty much killed off all of the remaining quincys including starting a hollow attack on ishidas grandfather. Even mayuri admitted to experiementing with quicny’s. Presumably including ishidas grandfather. There is just a lot of fucked up shit that the shinigami side did so you can’t just blindly say that the shinigami are the “good” side and any opposing side is the “bad” side.
So Japanese Heaven isn’t the pinnacle of ethics and morality as I thought it would be? THEN WHAT SHOULD I BELIEVE IN?

But if the Quincies destroy the hollow souls as opposed to “freeing” them, then they’re destroying the balance of souls as well. I’m pretty sure Kubo already addressed this and that’s the reason why the Shinigami are so harsh on the Quincies.
Except that the Quincy method eventually destroys everything.
Also, SS predates the Quincy. IIRC they tried to work together until SS discovered that their method of killing hollows would lead to Armageddon, SS asked them to stop, they refused, so SS made them stop.
Not saying SS isn’t without serious criticism, and I found a serious sense of distaste for Captain Commander rubbing his nose in it before he killed Juha-clone. But it’s not as if the Quincy and SS popped up at the same time and merely had a disagreement on methodology.
That is all really a theory on the shinigami’s part that it’d destroy the balance of souls.
One might think that seeing how souls in soul society live for thousands of years that without quincies that there would be massive over population. Further add in that said souls in soul society are pretty much living out their days in poverty as it is.
So the author of the manga just included a whole backstory about why there was a fight between the SS and the Quincy and set the reason for fighting the Quincy now as “win it or it will be the end of everything”, but hey it’s just a theory…
Also, are you justifying the permanent death of souls because otherwise they’d just be plebes living on the fringe of existence? Nice to meet you Herr Mengele.
I wonder why Uryuu been hiding his power for so long. His true power is probably close to perhaps Ichigo?
But it looks though this last arc was made in the last moment to let the Quincy be relevant again and super power them up.
