Meh, the only war potential that really got murked was Kenpachi- and the shit that’s happened to him this arc would have been stupid whether he was a war potential or not.
Ichigo doesn’t get to fight, Ichebei only lost to Bach and just barely at that, Aizen’s been tied to a chair the whole time, Kisuke has basically been on a shelf unused for the past 4 years.

I will say this chapter actually felt longer than usual for Bleach (which still isn’t saying much) so for it to feel longer and actually be good made it worth the quick read.
Just read this chapter and was reintroduced to something very odd among Bleach fans that I haven’t seen in a long time. People saying that Yourichi’s black making other people very mad. You can say just about every other brown skinned character is black except for Yourichi. That really sets people off.

I started my revisit of the series enjoying it so far, still in the “hollow of the week” stuff but getting hit with the nostalgia from seeing this stuff back in 7th grade lol. Also on the topic of Yoruichi I don’t think she’s black, she looks like a southeast asian imo. But i do know that any anime character that isn’t white colored is automatically called black by people damn near. Seen someone even say Scar from FMA is black…
I personally don’t see the point in assigning races to characters since it doesn’t really matter and the creators never really specify so they could be anything. I just find it amusing that calling certain characters “black” enrages a lot of people. lol

One thing I never got. Why even bother with this War potential shit when the Quincies are just waxing that ass? Would be different if this shit was an even fight, but the Quincies are shown to just be miles ahead in everything.
Well I mean none of the war potentials got bodied or anything like that (except Kenpachi kinda but as always he fights some shit that should be like a 9-1 matchup for him ability wise) I mean Juha had to take out Ichibe (which was a close fight) Ichigo hasnt done anything except get off paneled by some poison bullshit. and Urahara and Aizen have yet to have an actual fight so.
I think Kenpachi would beat all the standard quincies like Bazz B and the zombie hoe and Kenpachi is (arguable) the weakest of the group so.

With this last chapter, Kubo cemented Urahara being better than Mayuri. Let’s hope Kubo pulls that off. Mayuri already looked boss. Hard to see anybody out prepping him while still being believable.
