It’s still very possible for Uryuu to still be jobber. He could be using Uryuu to get close to Ichigo and making him the successor, saying he’ll have more power, etc. is just an attempt to draw Ichigo out. He didn’t kill Ichigo yet because of some random reason like drawing out his true power only to steal it. Just as planned.
Was Bach lying or Kubo’s oversight that Bach didn’t mention Ichigo as another surviving Quincy?

Well, Ichigo is a hybrid of 4 “races” so he is not a quincy per se
Bach just painted a target on Ishida’s back. Now if he doesn’t stay close to the big man, he’ll catch a knife to the back.

By granting such a position to Uryuu, he has the entire Vandenreich ready to kill him at a moment’s notice. The only reason he isn’t dead right now is because he’s in Bach’s favor. If he pulls ANYTHING that makes Bach rescind that favor…well the rest of the group won’t have any qualms about slicing his ass in half and will do it with a smile on their faces.

She was on the spring but while Ichigo was on Earth on the flashback, she and Renji passed him.

These “shit we could have been doing all along to power up but weren’t” plot devices always irk me a little.
I mean, Zero Division has a room where you power up by standing around.
I really enjoyed the chapter, its been awhile since a chapter jumped around and showed us what was going on in multiple places.

Overall I feel a tad bit better now that peeps are healing and standing up and getting stronger. SS gonna need all the help they can get with the Sternritters.
Kubo is finally making moves to get Ichigo out of the human realm.
I do enjoy the whole “spirit detective” thing Ichigo had going on, but at this point Soul Society relies on him way too much for him to not be there full-time.
But SS are evil.
Ichigo won’t work completely with evil.
It will probably be Ichigo with the War Potentials and his nakamas (Rukia, Inoue, Chad, Renji, Uryuu, Neliel and Byakuya) in a royal rumble against everyone, Shinigamis, Quincies and Hollows.
