Everything relating to Ichigo and the asauchis is an unknown mystery to him as he explained to Renji.
But well, since Ichigo isn’t a 100% shinigami, the asauchi rules don’t apply with him.
He’s learning as he goes…just like us.
Maybe the asauchis now recognized Ichigo’s latent transcendental power and acted accordingly now that he is calm and more focused.
I also ike that he was able to imprint that asauchi by just touching him.

What is a gigai? It’s like a spare body that can take a soul right?
So where did that DNA come from? Is it Urahara’s? I mean if that’s the case, wouldn’t Ichigo actually be his son? I mean Ichigo is actually the son of a qunicy and a gigai, hell you could almost call him ‘pure blooded’ quincy depending on how you look at the situation…a clone of Masaki with Iishin’s soul.
Now on top of that, that means his sisters are all qunicies (1).
And what’s his pops going to do once the girls graduate form high school? IS he going to go back to Soul Society? Take ‘Captain Status’?
And have they explained yet why Ichigo’s hair is like a strawberry?
Don’t think too much on what Ichigo is. The only hard rule is that Ichigo is always whatever is relevant to the story at the time.

I like to think of the black asuchi being different due to his current spirit reiatsu. When he came he was clearly on the shinigami trip of power. Guy comes back, realizes his quincy side (and because it’s awaken due to the blut scene) now they’re black. I guess you could consider it impure asuchi as Ichigo’s impure blood.

at first, ichigo clearly wasn’t in control cause his bankai broke. So he’s in no position to choose which asuchi to wield. I guess now he’s in control because his quincy side is fully awaken?

Honestly, I don’t think Ikkaku or Renji are captain level. They have bankai, and still get beaten by lower enemies.
And I am glad the story with Ichigo’s dad is over. Dumbest character I have seen. Remember where Ichigo is carrying his sisters (wearing a kimono), and he’s like “you’ll love the feeling, they are not wearing panties”… Why in the world does Kubo think anybody find that dumbass funy smh.
I’ve always hated Ichigo’s dad. I enjoy him now, however. He’s gotten way more badass since becoming a shinigami again. I still don’t understand how the FUCK he’s able to reproduce.

If you go back to the arc before SS, Ichigo was saying that his spiritual powers grew as he got older. Keeping in line with that they started to be able to see hollows a bit with grandfisher, and when Ishida summoned a bunch of them for their contest she was able to see it much clearer. So like with ichigo when they get to their mid teens they’ll probably start getting broken powers too. Though Karen did seem to awaken some type of shinigami power during the beginning of the substitute shinigami arc.
Do we know for a fact Grand Fisher ate her soul?
That is the only thing that we don’t know, every time that grandfisher talked about her, he said kill, not eat, iirc
It’s been awhile since they showed his sisters. I thought Karin actually had a shinigami sword and was working as a substitute shinigami(?). Could be way wrong. If she doesn’t, then it actually makes sense they don’t have any powers besides seeing ghosts because Ichigo’s powers really manifest until he got stabbed by Rukia.
Karin’s activities haven’t been confirmed. All we know is she’s spiritually aware, knows Ichigo (and thus likely Dad) are shinigami and she now works for/with Kisuke.
In all honesty, it wouldn’t be a far stretch to guess she may be ghostbusting like Ichigo used to. Ichigo would never know, since he wouldn’t have been able to see her if she was in shinigami form.
