They say it takes 10k hours to get good at something. This has been going for like ten years right? He’s put in so much time drawing this that he should have ‘artisitcally’ grown. Granted I noticed it already, the shift happend at the end of the save Rukia arc…during the…err time skip - you saw the first ‘shift’. As we approached the second time skip, he incr3eaed the LOD as well - especially on facial features for chicks.

If I’m not mistaken, -maru is typically a suffix for male names. It doesn’t really have a specific meaning when used in that fashion, other than making a name masculine.
