But yeah, the way that souls age on SS is really weird, take Lisa and Nanao, Nanao started as a loli but now she is a woman on her early twenties while Lisa didn’t age at all, the same with Hiyori, Byakya also aged from a teenager to someone around his late twenties, while soi fong don’t seem to have aged so much, in fact she seems younger than byakuya, but iirc she looked older than him by the time of turn the pendulum 
and don’t forget Hipstergaya.

Lisa was a Lieutenant during Pendulum, so she was probably a century or two old at that time.
You START in Soul Society at the age you died. Rukia died as a baby, but now is over 150 and looks like a teenager.
All depends at what time you die. Souls are also born in SS sometimes, depending on what Kubo’s writing.
I get the feeling that you age normally until you reach adulthood, then the aging process slows considerably. If you enter Soul Society as an adult, it’ll still take a long ass time for you to grow old.
Same reason KyoTake are about 2000 give or take but are pushing late 30s/mid 40s.

I just don’t see how these guys could possibly be stronger than Yama. Both of his defeats circumvented the use of his bankai. It just seems that unless you go in with some sort of neutralizing/sealing technique, you’re pretty much a goner.
