The vertical beam? It’s either :d::u: + attack or :dp: + attack. I’m not an Ukitake player, but it shouldn’t be hard to figure out.

I’m usually on in the evening. My name’s King on WFC, and I use Renji. I don’t use cards unless I’m against a scrub using cards, and even then, I only use cards to disable other card’s effects or to prevent cards from being used.
Glenn_Butt on WFC and I use any three of those characters I have. Not a fan of cards myself. Ruins the gameplay. Especially the cards that are supposed to work. Auto Dash does nothing!
What’s good about Renji?
Renji can attack from any range. His attacks lag a bit, and he’s not a combo-heavy character, but the combos you can make with him are pretty devastating, including one that involves his Bankai. All of his specials cause knockdown, which is always good.
I like Renji’s cH because you can tag a lot of people with it and it has good range. It’s great if you mix it up into his ground combos in case they block high.
bds is incrediablly broken, i started off by playing bds2 which in my opinion is MUCH better then bds1. The only reason most of the bds2 players came over to 1 is because of the increase in competition they would have thanks to it being in english. I dont mean to be completely negative, bds1 is still playable but id suggest to anyone who can get there hands on bds2 to do it, bds1 is super scrub friendly thanks to rediculous cards and unblockble ground attacks on airborn opponents. Plus my main sucks in bds1, Bonnie is rediculous in bds2 =D

Can one play the japanese version of 1 with the us version of it?

auto dash works but if youre blocking you can stop any of the auto cards, plus they are relatively short
so what all changed in bds2 did they get rid of the unblockable ground to air attacks?
the us version of bds1 is different from the japanese bds1 so no. im up to battle any of yall with my soi fon.
Without cards the game is fine, it’s not broken. It’s actually pretty balanced, and joke characters aside, very few aren’t competitive.
