Is it me or in the “Green cock laser” pic does it look like he is getting a Micheal Jackson tribute pose on in the air. Which along with the picture where he does a cross slash, makes me wonder if I should expect him to do a moon walk or something.

I kind of feel the same way. I played it mainly on the arcade at first and I’m so used to the Japanese voices for the characters. But at the same time, I find ways to tune it out when playing anyway.
I kind of like the English voices for some of the cast. Some of the others not so much. Example: I personally love Bang and Tager. I thought Bang’s english actor did a great job. I like taokaka in english. The rest I muchly prefer Japanese. Especially Hakumen. His english voice actor makes me cringe.

You explicitly stated that you don’t take this game seriously, so I imagine you’ve never played a high level Rachel; let me tell you, she’s just as bad as Nu and Arakune, if not worse. And I’m not talking about a good XBL Rachel, I’m talking Rachel in tournament. She just has too many easy mode tools.
And doing a better job too. Hazama looks much cooler than that twig in green.
funny note, Hazama’s english voice also plays Gin in the english dub of Bleach.
i’m sure he and Tsubaki’s VA will do some nice in-battle voices once this gets dubbed.
True that, the character had insane mix-up game.
And to make matters worse, no matter what you guessed (high or low), shit was not just safe on block, it was frame advantage!!
Not only was that bad, but the more you guess right, the shit effected your shield so much as well to the point where you keep guessing right you would only be shield broke in a matter of seconds.
Also, the english VA overall sucks.

I just noticed that Hazama’s chin looks notably different than before in the illustration, much more rounded.
Also, the hair under the hat seems slightly different, overall a slight Lupin vibe.
Concerning the English voice acting, I would put it on the same level as many of the 90’s dubbed anime, in terms of quality and overall delivery. In addition, you have to keep in mind these are general voice actors, and they also work on American cartoons and other media in addition to the work they do for shows from other countries. And besides, how many people do you know that perfectly pronounce words from other languages?(including forte, which is Italian, among many, many others that have made their way into mainstream English language)
About the game, I will reserve judgement until I get my hands on it/ there are more Loketests. At the very first one they did, Taokaka had a lot better tools than she did for the overall game, so if anything I suspect the overall balance will be wildly different as it gets closer to the final product. I don’t remember that many people getting it right their first time off the bat, and the same goes for games.
I thought the English voice actors were impressive, especially when compared to SF4 or KOF XII’s. I liked most of them, and to be quite honest I hate more of the Japanese voices than the English. Jin’s was alright until you put him and Ragna together then it gets just untolerable for me (I seriously lost matches before because his Japanese voice against Ragna pisses me off, so annoying. I usually go Jin mirror when I see one), Carl’s sounds like a whiny female, Noel’s was pretty damn annoying too, Nu’s was annoying against Ragna as well, everybody else’s was decent. Japanese Tager is awesome “IRON FISTO”. Only English voices I disliked were most of the NPCs like Nago, Gii, Terumi (not Hazama), Makoto, etc. The main cast was fine.
