Extensive no, but I’m trying to learn her whenever I get tired of playing Rachel and Izayoi. She’s really fun, IMO the most successful new character design just in terms of how it feels to play her. Building up drive levels is actually rewarding because it has an immediate impact on your options, and all of her combos give a satisfying crunch.
But dear god, I wish people would stop downplaying Izayoi and Bullet as if they’re so much worse than the rest of the cast. It’s BlazBlue, every character has ways to win, and the low tiers are pretty balanced overall.
It’s not that she’s ‘rushdown’ (Which, I am lead to believe, she is kindof not, being more of a ‘footsies’ character), it’s that so many of her moves look basically the same, her blockstrings are limited, and her ‘special effects’ are fugly. I like watching Makoto or Bang go to town on someone, but somehow, Bullet appears on scree and I go “Zzzzzz…”
You know what character I really enjoy watching? Amane, just watching the opponent lose a massive amount of life just from chip damage is hilarious to me lol.
Amane is definitely fun to watch. Both because of his “Wait, what, he can hit them from there and do what now?” kind of combos (which nevertheless do entirely reasonable levels of damage, unlike certain cast members, where you find yourself wondering “Why wasn’t that combo over already? He’s gotten 3.5k off 5B…”) and because the way he moves is just hilarious. Plus, well, yes, OMG, Chip.
That’s good news. between work and everything else, getting through story mode, as enjoyable as it is, is a bit of a grind. Not having to get 100% completion is a relief.
Meanwhile, is anyone here playing online? What’s online like at the moment?
The game’s online multiplayer runs excellent. The Online Lobby is a great addition; you can roam around, communicate with players using text chat, take a look at players’ D-Code player card, and you can challenge any available players to a match.
Hang on, I think I got to the end today, episode 7 but no unlock. How many episodes are there? What’s the “true” ending? I’ve run through a few times but with no success. This morning I got to the stage where you have to fight a bunch of other characters as ragna but… well, no Kagura.
The true ending is where you obviously see the true ending of the story and it’s the biggest part of the story on each BlazBlue game (except the Continuum Shift updates [Continuum Shift II and Continuum Shift EXTEND]).
I’m not going to tell you how many episodes are. You have to play through ALL of the episodes on Chronophantasma, Sector Seven, and Six Heroes and after that you will unlock more episodes on each story arc. Keep playing through the Story Mode.
