Skill level : complete noob with 4 day old hakumen. dunno where to start. it feels like whenever i go visit character specific forums, people focus mainly on combos, but not enough strategy. right now, playing blazblue feels like a skill less unarmored soldier thrown into the battlefield
Background history : started in mvc2 before magneto moved too fast, then went to cvs2, learned ST and A2 along the way, good at kof2003, decent in sf4

Skill Level: Mid level on a good day
Background: Pretty much every SF all the way back to Champion Edition (though I was very young), Killer Instinct 1-2. Tekken 3-5, Vs series (All except COTA)
Strengths: Diligent student of the game so I know all the mechanics of a game, can quickly read my opponents strategy
Weaknesses: When I read that opponents strategy, I don’t always come up with a counter before it’s too late, Have problems with dealing with rushdown and pressure
Wants to learn: Definitely approach strategies… Once I’m in, I can cause some serious damage, but getting in is a big problem

Skill Level: Played 3rd Strike competitivly years ago. Also a long time Guilty Gear player, but not on a competitive level. I’d say my skill is around an intermediate level.
Strengths: Tech chasing, covering my ass with pumpkins, wind control, strong-ish mix-up/rush/abare game
Weaknesses: I fold under long pressure strings. Generally impatient. Bursting to maintain pressure to often (shame on me, I know)
Want to learn: Just wanna get beat down by stronger players and maybe learn a few things along the way. I’m especially bad with the Arakune, Jin, and Noel match-ups, so this would be helpful as well.

Skill Level: Been playing fighting games for years. Didn’t acknowledge the competitive side of fighters until around 3 years ago when I started college. Played Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, and Tekken all at casual level. Started diving into the technical side of Guilty Gear and Soul Calibur when I started acknowledging competitive play but never got the chance to go to tournaments for those games in particular. I have minimal tournament experience in SFIV and none in BlazBlue as of currently. I’d consider myself an intermediate level player at best.
Strengths: Nailing combos when opportunity arises. Rushdown game is relatively solid.
Weaknesses: Slight impatience (result of not playing SFIV in a bit, lol), Needs practice IBing at the right moments.
Want to learn: How to handle the top 3 (mainly Arakune) and Carl better. I don’t fight Litchi enough either and could use some more experience in that match up.

Background history : I’m and old school Mortal Kombat player (MK through MK4). I got back into fighting games with Guilty Gear X2 and I was my only competition until college. I got into Street Fighter when HD Remix came out. When BB came out, I started out with Taokaka. I played her too defensively so I switched to Nu (didn’t find out she was top tier until a month after).
Location : Chicopee, MA
Strengths : I know how to react to counter hit, good zoning, can improvise if something goes wrong, and a solid mixup game.
Weaknesses : The Noel matchup, the Carl matchup, I can’t handle rushdown well, I can get too repetitive, I play a highly defensive Taokaka, inconsistency with combos (my execution isn’t so great which is something I gotta fix on my own).
Wants to learn : A better Taokaka, Rachel, and how to handle my weaknesses.

Skill Level: Proficient with Hakumen. Taokaka is subpar, but still able.
Location: Tacoma, Washington (near Seattle).
Background History: Been messing around with various SF, KoF and crossover games since I was a kid. Didn’t really get serious until about KoF 2002 (or was it 2000? Can’t remember). Played Smash Bros games pretty seriously (actually went to some tournies). Still a little ashamed of that.
Strengths: Bragging is for chumps.
Weaknesses: In general, teching throws, escaping Jins ice blocks. Half the time I end up hopping left or right. In specific: the Noel matchup, Litchi matchup and keeping cool under high pressure attack strings like Bang. Nu and Arakune just like any Hakumen I suppose, but I try nonetheless.
Want to learn: The Noel and Litchi matchups, how to exploit holes in attack strings with my drive counter.
