The game isn’t letting me create my character on Juwol. What’s going on?

Welp taking the plunge and setting this to download overnight, probably won’t play until Thursday as my local fighting game group meets on Wednesdays though, will try to get on Juwol and will post up details when I make my character.
Torn between summoner and blade dancer for class, would usually just go straight for summoner but their cats look kind of derpy and blade dancer does seem to have that cool melee/caster hybrid thing going on.
Only the Lyn(mouse/cat race) can be Summoners. That may or may not help in your decision.
