Blade arcus is;nt the most polish looking game but its not terrible either. stiff animation some are’a but people said the same about Battle Fantasia when it attempt 2.5, same for kohime, its design just different.
Netcode is decent but dead because not many people like the game…and more so to do “word of mouth” then actual game quality.
Koihime looks a lot better than this, but I find the characters less appealing despite having not history with either series outside of the fighting game from each.
eh I’m hard press to call this wise move at this point. I mean what could it accomplished at this point? The pc version already address the main concern of localization and online play. Besides the console advantage of being convenient
Yeah, I think it’s a convenience move for those who don’t have the PC version to play on. As for what additions Team Saizensen would add to the western console release other than just online mode is to be seen. As stated, nothing is certain at the moment but I just know that a console release is a possibility for the western market.
The game is on sale on Steam right now (18,19€/$).
I tried the demo a little and tbh it looks pretty nice, the movesets are very interesting as well as the game mechanics. I laughed though at the Parasol ripoff, might be the first time a Japanese developer actually copies a Western FG developer?
edit: out of curiosity, does anyone have an idea of the tier list for this game?
That’s what I guessed by looking at tournament matches and by playing the game. And how are all the furries rated (Rouna, Fenrir and Xiaomei)? Also many people seem to pick Xiaomei or Pairon as supports.
All three of the furries are good at rushdown but in different ways. Rouna has an airdash, Xiaomei has a demon flip special which gives her access 3 other specials to mix up her oki-game on knockdown, & Fenrir has fast normals. All of their specialties help with their pressure game in some sort of fashion.
I mostly use Xaiomei as my support for Urayukihime because her DP special is good at getting people of you after a knockdown or during a combo. Also, using her during Urayukihime’s slash super makes for a long combo when Xiaomei jumps in to keep the super going.
And of course i will end playing with one of the low tiers :shake: (Misty)
Dunno about that, Misty comes from an RPG that predates Skullgirl, plus is nothing new to have a character that plays with an umbrella.
Add that her gameplay feels more like a less complex version of Venom than Parasoul by how her orbs work.
It’s not just “a character with an umbrella”, she can set up the floating orbs exactly like Parasoul and make them blow with the same animation. Unless Misty had a similar power in Shining Force (which seems to me kinda hard) I think it is too much for a pure coincidence. A SG scene exists in Japan so it’s not really a weird scenario.
Yeah whatever, i know that a lot of SG fans love to see “references” to SG when there is none (like the new Potemkin design ), so feel free to live on denial
I’m not even a SG fan, it’s just so blatant that unless you can prove that SG actually took inspiration from Shining the only way to deny it is being troll or mentally challenged.
Guess I wasn’t wrong in putting you in my ignore list. Farewell.
No wonder i think that you are a massive idiot.
I never said that SG took inspiration from Shining, you illiterate chimp.
I am saying that is very likely that this is a mere coincidence since even when SG has been developing from some time before, Shining developed something similar independently for the RPG’s, and SG wasn’t even out when the rpg came out.
People fighitng with umbrellas, yoyos, tops etc. is very common in japanese media.
Thinking that an obscure usa game inspired another [obscure?] game from japan is idiotic, when chances are this is a mere coincidence.
If anyone has massive brain damage here is you.
