I never did find that Bison secondary. I’ve decided to put my work into my Bison, still want that secondary though!

Sometimes Eventhubs has outdated frame data. For example, I checked Fei Long and it still has his AE (pre-2012) frame data. His st.jab is +5 on hit in AE 2012 for starters.

If you go to SRK Wiki AE page, that’s probably the most accurate and up-to-date.

It has Bison’s close st.MP as -1 on block.

I personally updated the srk wiki frame data to 2012 using the japanese guide. AFAIK every other source is still AE based or used the patch notes to fix AE notes, but there were a lot of stealth changes.

The japanese guide had a bunch of mistakes as well, so the SRK wiki is actually the most accurate source atm.

I’ve started on those Bison notes. Oh god my Bison is rusty.

You cant land a guaranteed safe LP psycho crusher.<div><br></div><div>After lk scissor you do lp pc. If the opponent does quick stand, it (can) land on him and be safe or even +1. But it depends on which frame your opponents quickstands and your timing on lp psycho crusher. It can be unsafe on block and its even possible it whiffs putting you in a punisable state. </div>

Most of the general ones can be found in the setups thread.  Check the second post:<br>Bison Labwork: setups, option-selects and unblockables (updated 4/2013)<br><br>In general, crossup crusher isn’t something you should depend on.  It can be hard to see if you time it correctly, but you’re risking getting punished for 100 to 140 damage.<br>

Nevermind about the old questions… but after a EX psycho crusher on hit (not block), what do you guys think is best to follow with? Tips vs grapplers? I think space dependent on how much space you put in after landing on the other side.

Shit I don’t know how to anti-air with bison.
I know st.hk is supposedly a good anti air but it trades a lot and doesn’t work up close.

Not having a decent anti air is one of the things you have to get used to when playing Bison. He has inconsistent AA’s and it’s heavily spacing dependent. The go to is St HK but if you anticipate jumpins you can use Cr Hp. You have to be very early on the jumpin though cos that’s a 12 frame startup.

St HK does hit up close but again, it’s inconsistent and character hurtbox dependent. You have to learn when to AA and when to block playing Bison.

Spacing is key. Watch Gagapa play. His spacing is broken tier.

Funny you mentioned him I was watching some Hiro and Gagapa last night checking out their tactics. Sucks because I can rarely find footage of gagapa.
The sad thing is I’m an online warrior usually, please don’t judge me haha, and people never hesitate to jump in and while I can scare them away with cr.hp from balrog Bison’s anti air’s aren’t scary enough. The best I can do is jump mp into cr.mp mixup or ultra.

Also Kim1234 is a GDLK bison to watch so maybe get hold of some of his vids as well as Dogura and Shungoku Neurosis. Can’t go wrong watching any of them.

Dusting off my copy of AE and putting away the Mahvel and SFxT…so who’s going to make a new 2013 AE update thread? We better get a good consensus going on here so we can spam the fuck out of CapUnity. Bison’s suggestion thread closes on Tuesday (lol) so we better get goin!

I’ll start off:

-cr.hp reduced startup buff
-Psycho Punisher return to motion instead of charge or keep it charge but fast as fuck. When’s the last time we’ve seen that move actually punish something in a tournament? If you can do it on reaction then godbless your superhuman reflexes but I can’t punish shit on reaction unless I’m sitting there waiting for it and no one is that dumb. Putting stuff in your game that has no use is stupid design practice.
-scissor kick frontload damage buff for viable dmg FADC combos
-improve throw tech window, its his only way of setting up 50/50 crossups off of a hard knockdown and this shit has an extra frame window to be throw teched
-SFxT stomp and EX diver full body invincibility

or just leave him alone, just don’t nerf him.

hello, i’m collecting kara throw data for all of AE 2012’s characters, i don’t know how much of the information here is outdated, so i wanted to ask: what’s bison’s best kara throw?
all of the data will be compiled into a list including normal throw ranges, added ranges and kara throw ranges.

Bison has no kara throw :frowning:

forward dash throw is a kara throw, and the only 1 afaik
