Thanks a lot everyone for the info everyone. My only concern is that it looks like I have an old verson of the xbox without hdmi. Do you know if it is possible to use standard av cables with these monitors?

Most of these types of monitors will only have HDMI, DVI and VGA connectors. The least painful option would be to see if you can get a hold of a XBOX VGA cable (http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/microsoft-vga-hd-av-cable-xbox-360-b4s-00009/10175849.aspx as an example), but the priceyness of it kinda takes the wind out of that good deal for the monitor. Especially when you compare it to a $10 HDMI cable. The worse option might be to find a VGA to component cable or adapter, but there can be a risk of input lag with an adapter.

Get an official VGA cable off ebay for like 15 bucks ian. theres no input lag through vga on those monitors. one of the stations was using VGA upstairs for a long time and it never lagged. if you don’t use an official cable you might have some ghosting issues, so stick with the official one.

Usually it is a cable using an adapter that causes lag because of the adapter, so I would personally not expect any issues if you use a cable created for that purpose.

My name is Yonas Yanfa and I’m a former University of Waterloo student, graduated in 2008 in Computer Science.

At the beginning of this year I thought about opening up a student entertainment and relaxation centre in Waterloo. I asked for your opinions and based on the survey results, it was clear that many people are truly interested in seeing this happen.

thats not the official one, it’ll work fine, i just notice a bit of ghosting with those ones if you’re near other electronics. i think maybe the shielding on them isn’t as good.

the vga cable plugs into the composite output of ur xbox for sure, no hdmi or anything like that. the cable i linked you arrived yesterday and i tested it during the endless matches with you last night. it works great and no ghosting so far. hehe.

How today’s Dr. Doom training went in chronological order:

• receive notation for bnb combos from luis
• disregard bnb combos received from luis and proceed to practice marlinpie swag tac combos that I found on youtube
• go to bed having learned nothing

It’ll really suck if every char with flight has a TAC infinite except Dr.Strange but I wouldn’t be surprised. So far chars I’ve seen have it are Trish, Magneto, Dormammu, Sentinel, Dante, Nova, and Modok. I’m assuming Doom and Iron Man also have one. Strange has a teleport so I can see him having one as well. Not that I would have the execution for it anyways.
