Yeah I have very little experience with mirror matches, so playing you opened my eyes a bit on how it feels to play against a good Bison.

All the characters I played were essentially charge characters: Bison, Honda, Chun. I don’t know if its because the characters I played have poor AA’s, but I noticed you really like going for crossups. It was especially annoying since Bison himself has such a wide hitbox.

I’m not used to doing wake up ultras with Bison, because well, it feels scrubby. It can also be baited with meaty jabs or shorts because its startup is so long, so it won’t actually hit.

Definitely fun. I’ll hit you up for some more games later on.

Alright…wow. After playing 34 matches with m16ghost, its kinda pathetic that I dont have as much to write as I should >_<. Ill try to think back and remember somethings…

PROS

?You adapted very quickly…again. But this time, it was more efficient. You went on like a 5-6 game win streak and completely shut out my jump ins using Bison, which was surprising.

?You were more consistent with your combos/punishers.

?Much better at teching throws and blocking crossups.

?Good job mixing it up. I remember SMILING when you started to turn my combos back around one me. When you did the FADC cancel into throw i was like awww shitt hes got it. Very nice to see.

?I dont think if this was intentional, but your wake up games were nice. The part im not sure if it was intentional or not were your DR fakeouts. Like, you would do an EX DR but not flip, but I thought it was a headstomp, so I tried to get in position to punish. Last second, you would flip and hit me with the DR. Not sure if that was intentional, but either way it was really nice.

?Excellent use of pokes. Like I said, the roundhouse COMPLETELY shut me down some rounds.

CONS

Heres the part I dont remember too much…I said id jot notes down in-between matches, but I forgot to do it . =)

?You started to get predictable with your strings at times. Mainly after I blocked an SK, either you would try to stick your foot out or try to do another SK. Not sure what, but I shouldnt be able to get a cr. lk in. As you know, getting 1 cr lk can lead into big damage.

?Toward the end you got better at teching, but until then I was freely able to get you with cross up MK, cr. lp, throw. I know its tough but seriously if you can try to tech at least 80% of throws you wont lose much. I know im acting like im really good at teching n shit (im not, you got me too) but trust me. How can you get better at teching? Depends…you can try option selecting, or you can try to use your judgment (which is what I do).

?Sadly thats all I remember for now (or in a positive perspective, that was all in the cons section :tup:). Ill edit though if anything pops up.

Actually if anything, I don’t think I hit any combos. I really have a problem hitting c.lkx3 xx scissors online. I’m also terrible at timing meaties. Most of my damage came from pokes and throws. lol

I noticed you like to jump for whatever reason from far away, trying to hit confirm j.mpx2 into ultra, c.lp combo, or roundhouse (1-hit). I tagged you a lot with the roundhouse, but you did start using j.hp which trades instead of losing flat out.

You like to crossup after a block string. In the last set of games, I was able to counter using EX HS, but this time you adapted and mixed it up to the point where it stopped being predictable and punished me for using HS. That’s why I started to mix in DR.

Yeah, but it was very frustrating to keep dropping those combos, when you would hit them maybe 80-90% of the time. I need to practice using c.lk/c.lp, s.lkx2, s.hk. Nice job on landing that fairly often.

Looks like you’ve gotten a lot better since the last time we played Ghost. We should get a few games going sometime.

Nah I DEF noticed an improvement in your execution. And the reason why I jumped like that was cause id try to go for the cross up…and fall terribly short lol.

I’m wouldn’t say I got better, I’m just more familiar with the mirror match up now. I don’t have nearly enough experience with the Balrog matchup, but I’ll hit you up on live.

Not gonna lie, I think Andre revived the Bison army. Ran into few mirrors today on XBL/GFWL. Lulz… even like 20+ viewing the forum earlier. This thread is getting a lot of hits.

Interesting stuff, I’ll definitely create an account and try to use it. We should get some matches in sometime Shervin, I’d definitely like to see footage of myself playing so I can find weaknesses.

Not much to say besides what I said in the message…you’re really good lol. Some rounds you would completely rape me and trap me in the corner, but then other rounds itd be the opposite…dk why. You are REALLY good with pokes, that roundhouse fucked up my day a lot and your combo execution wasnt bad either. And going back to what I said in the msg…youre really good with your offense but just work on your D.

oh yeah it was a little easy baiting you into throwing SKs from mid screen…i was able to step back and roundhouse you a couple times. learn the distances of them so you know which one to use in every situation.

edit: I will post sometime tomorrow before I go on, in case anybody wants to battle. My internet connection here ain’t bad, but sometimes is just outright horrid. Either way, hope to fight some of ya in a bit.

And yeah, I have only had one mirror match. Poor guy got obliterated, but still did better second round.
