Just saw “regional” I’m just minutes outside DC on the Arlington, VA side so I suppose that falls pretty squarely in the “DMV” if we are considering it such/and there are actually any others from the area present.
Edit: God damn it. Of course a tree just had to fall in the middle of 64 W when I was roughly 20 minutes away. 20+minutes ago…bleh. This sucks… Nature be damned!

Jokes aside, it was a tremendous work and effort from Khang for making it all happen. 9 months of work and everyone came together and made an awesome friendly event. A lot of amazing 3s over the weekend. 5 Star had some of the best matches. Him vs Gavin, Nica in 3v3 and Mutant at singles were the most intense games.
Fuck, I’m sitting here in the hotel lobby by myself, listening to some of the stream from the weekend… we gotta do this again; this was so much fun and I definitely miss everyone. Can’t wait for the next one, and I promise, one less beer* so I can competently parry Ken’s super next time.
TFC was definitely a community uniting experience as seen by all these Facebook friend requests. This was the real deal and showed 3rd Strike’s presence in American fighting games. 3S had the 2nd most entries at this tournament despite being an arcade game from 1999.
It was awesome and I hope that all us Online Edition Generation players keep on practicing. We have some players that are already really strong so let’s carry on the proverbial torch for 3S.
