I thought about doing that on the 2 sticks where I put in Hori Minis; they were for 2 close friends and I don’t expect them to upgrade the guts anytime soon… and besides, even if they were to upgrade the PCB, they’d send it back my way either way.
But I figured I’d do it properly from the get-go and put in the inverters. It helped in my case that I had exactly 2 hex inverters lying around from my old days of rigging up light-up-on-press LEDs for my IL pushbuttons.

Was recently chatting with a co-worker about what sticks they had and he shows me a pic of an old MAS. I was like ‘oh shit ok’, I thought I was going to see something more…generic. I of course had to show him my 2 MAS sticks

finished the padhack and its working fine and dandy, but when i plug it into a ps4 theres a slight delay before any inputs are registered such as the PS button to sign in. On PC i hear the usb plug in sound with nothing popping up in joy.cpl, but after a second or two i hear the USB disconnect sound as the pad appears in the list. Is this normal?
I don’t recall ever running into that problem myself, and off the top of my head I can’t really think of any reason that this would happen. Maybe cable length/quality? But this is digital stuff, so it’s either on or off… I’m really not sure.

i ended up opening it back up and realized i forgot to wire up power to the stick’s original pcb for aux buttons. connecting power fixed the issue

Saw that tweet. I’d definitely want one; I don’t buy many retail sticks these days, but the VSHG is on my “to-get” list (along with the Agetec and an HSS-0130).

As much as I know I want that new VSHG, in all likelihood I won’t be picking it up.
I already have too many sticks (don’t we all?), but my wife is usually very cool with me keeping my custom-built ones (she’s at least proud of me that I’ve been able to build those).
At this point I really even find time to play that many stick-based fighters (mostly because the people around me who used to play them with me have long stopped playing).
Also, many other changes in my collecting/hobby habits recently.

Yeah. I showed this to my wife and she said “how many damn Sega sticks do you need?” I’ve never had a VSHG so that itch kinda feels like it needs to be scratched.
I spent last night screwing around with my 8220 on a hacked up EX-SE I got off eBay for $9. It’s a work in progress…
Just found out Arcade Shock has released Astro City overlays that adhere to the cp.
