Would someone be so kind to explain why Q-bee is considered mixup heavy? I know she is S tier in VS, but i was never good enough in that game to understand why.

Does ST Claw count ?

If we are going by pure mixup potential rather than best mixup character ST Dictator has alot of options.

Instant Overheads. Ground instant crossovers in the corner. Air Resets into crossup slides. Best crossup in the game. Fake overheads into high priority diving move. Special move flying overhead into crossup overheads etc etc etc. Most of these also lead to you losing the match if they hit you once.

If unblockables count as mixups i guess GGAC Zappa should be counted aswell.

Clarice in Arcana Heart 3, especially wind, has quite a mixup game, a little magneto like. 4 to 5 way mixups, 1 frame sweep, wall carries into mixups (you can crossover opponents in the corner in AH3), plenty of ambiguous midscreen mixups. and then extremely fast “mist finers” that she can aim in many directions to keep you guessing (plus in general very strong air hitboxes)…so say sj iad back from close proximity to position for the dive into 4 way mixup, but instead I have this fast move that will hit you from there. a lot of it can loop into itself too

add in Wind Arcana’s 2E (air dash straight down), 2 doublejumps+1ad or 2airdashes+1dj, stationary typhoon to keep your op in place/honest, and a sonic boom that reverses and comes back to you and you got yourself a problem.

she also has some fun on some of the bigger charas, reminds me of mag owning sent.

kira’s mixups can also be pretty scary if she can ever set them up.

List of qbee stupidity:

  • Low to the ground hitbox while ducking that most of the cast can’t hit. You have to change all of your gameplan just to fight this character ducking. Anak can only use kick normals and ducking normals while she ducks and mashes on c.MP gains frame advantage and rapes your face in.

  • Instant air dash has homing so she is never wrong when IADing and its very hard to trip this mechanic up.

  • If preformed correctly IAD into LP or LK is a 9 frame overhead attack which can not be reacted upon even by most seasoned players.

  • Off of that overhead you can do high/low/throw into more IAD pressure while doing frametraps at the sametime making it one of the most frustrating frametraps to get out of in the game.

  • If you suck at blocking all of that you will lose both bats in less then 20 seconds due to the speed in the mixup.

  • Blockable command grab that is somewhat hard to punish but in return beats most anything that is chucked at it cause its a hit grab so you can be grabed for trying to poke this move out.

  • Dumb command grab that sends you full screen and has more invul then roll cancel that you can option select with.

  • Safe flight darkforce that has no punishable taunt at the end of the meter. Normals can be canceled by going to the ground while flying causes redic high/low mixups.

  • Dumb honey bubble super that she can chase after doing a mixup if you get hit while she is mixing you up and you get encased in honey she gets to do a free ender for more damage.

  • I can go on.

Even with all this being said Sasquatch is much worse.

Jedah has some nasty mixups. His one high low mixup in darkforce is still one that i am practicing
