Why the heck have we not said Rolento yet? He’s pretty clearly one of if not most defensive guy.

No mentiom of Akuma either. Air fireballs are really strong and well as his teleport on wake up.
yeah but he’s too much of a liability right now. He’s a great anchor character don’t get me wrong. It’s just one hit could spell the end for him.
Playing akuma on point, which i see some people do, is literal suicide. I still nominate gief as the best overall anchor character in terms of defense. One range and gief and you’ve got yourself a great team.
Id actually have to say that gief is a really good defensive char. At evo I would get the life lead with hwo and tag in gief who would just down back you all day waiting for u to do something stupid or get in spd range. And ex green hand being invincible and only -4 helps too
dude gief is gdlk. I would put him at high mid tier. his st mp is so good. i so want to pick him up! Just gotta find the right point character for him. I still wanna stay with a mixed team. I may try him and alisa out.
IMO Raven is one of the best defensive characters not only because he can keep you away and run away but because when his offense is required he can really change things quickly.
I don’t necessarily feel like Rolento is supposed to be played lame in this game…if anything I find him to be rather offensive, small mix-ups for small damage.
I think it is a combination, looking at infiltration. He has great pressures with his pokes and the like, but once he gets the life lead and meter he seems impossible to be pinned down.
