Outside of fighting games this gen is starting to suck for couch play, too many devs with a raging boner for online not even putting split screen in.

Play 64, feels more honest, don’t think it even has blue shell.

That’s part of the reason I like Sonic Allstars over current Mario Karts, items are good but not complete bullshit “I’ll just press the button and it will do all the work for me” like half the ones Mario Kart gives you for sucking these days.

CTR had the time warp item. Which functioned nearly the same way as the blue shell in mario kart.
