ok i finalized my team. ironman/sent/doom. team silver robot death!!

also, are tag-ins an air move? i have never successfully blocked it so far.

yes, they’re considered overhead

  1. tag ins are overhead
  2. red life doesn’t go away if you DHC
  3. x-factor makes chip damage higher
  4. aerial ‘team combos’ are broken and can give 3+ meter per combo

hmm. weird. all i know is that there’s already infinites being discovered. hhahahahh. i don’t know how that works when some stuff just stop comboing altogether.

With aerial team combos, I think each direction (up, side, down) gives different rewards for meter where down is the most, up is smaller, and side is none? 3-way guessing game for the opponent I guess, but the punishment for getting broken out is so small for the assailant considering you aren’t doing it til near the end of the combo with tons of scaling anyway

unless you are Amaterasu/Taskmaster/Ryu, then you get a free super off a TA Counter

ya’ll are a bunch of scrubs. someone said there’s a 1/3 chance of getting out ariel team combos if you just churn the stick and mash S(?). no punishment for mashing.

i forgot mike ross was a marvel player. he’s still gonna be one of the best faces to the community.

up is most damage, low is most meter (1 full meter, without meter gained from actual combo), middle is medium damage and medium meter. regardless, it’s a high-reward low-risk to do a tag. if it fails, your main character still stays and you lost an opportunity to kill a character by not using meter/x-factor, or you either kill the character and/or gained like 3-4 meters.

i actually haven’t tested if damage “gain” is % boost like x-factor or removal of scaling, but i’ll get a chance maybe later today.

considering you don’t lose red-life from tagging teammates in using this method, i see no negatives that outweighs the positives.

characters like dante and storm get a free super after an aerial tag in too… hilarious

? what do you mean ‘characters like dante and storm’? everyone in the game gets it.

I meant they can combo into a super up there from the air after they get tagged in, unless everyone can. I guess any character with an aerial super can

yah but you are better off doing j.s, and doing otg combo unless you wanna dhc in back? i guess that’s viable too… team combo into air super -> dhc and bring your character back. AWESOME! kill character for free

btw, after playing 10 years of mvc2, i just realized this is what happens when you THC (ehehhee)

team ABC -DHC-> team BAC -THC-> team CAB

i probably never cared about this since who the fuck thc’ed in mvc2.

same team order happens when you team-assist combo (btw can only be activated if you had initially launched them from special)

this probably mean you should keep doing DHC or team-assist combos once all day and use 3rd only for assist.

i’m liking dr.doom more and more even though he can’t spam photons like in mvc2 (wtf you can only do a special once in the air, but you can do multiple specials if you have more than 1 air special). REALLY fast empty triangle jump (lows/throws), or you can j airdash forward h as overhead but it’s a LITTLE slow. i don’t think you can block it on reaction though.

you can aircombo off of backthrow anywhere on the screen with otg h->s (maybe instead of s you can do fancy combo with assist?).

his specials kinda suck and not having dash = you gonna get hit by random fast supers. plus, his b+h is the shittiest slow move in the universe so if you whiff backthrow you gonna get hit by a jumpin combo.

still though, EVERYONE seems good right now cause everyone can do broken ass shit + x-factor = everyone has really good damage combos. we’ll see but i really like my flying silver robot team of sex

wow, you can cancel the first hit of doom’s j.m and come down faster. wtf hella unblockable if you land faster and go low. you can iad j.m (cancel), stand h combo. awesome! also you can cancel any hit of his stand m (2hit stomp) with a dash -> jump. he’s the new magneto, i don’t think i have the fingers needed to use him properly. i don’t know if 1hitstomp empty triangle low short works, but i cant do it cause i’m not fast enough.

j.s might hit as IOH on some big characters too, then airdash down c.short works.

wowz i’m in training mode. first combo i was gonna do was akuma loop vs sentinal, but neither characters are available. i have to unlock them? bleh.
