Berkeley / Brocade thread

everything was fine except gief’s spd. he suddenly starts spinning out of nowhere, then stops spinning on the way down…

happy new years u ****

playing dead rising makes me miss evo, cuz it’s set up in a fake-vegas town.

choco blanka made awesome sf cakes:

that’s amazing.

I want to impregnate her

Oh also, happy fucking new year you homos

just watched nemo’s yang on tokido’s blog. he does the ghetto sei enbu combo (c.mk, c.mp (?), dash, repeat), a few times then sweeps. then he does leaves a palm shadow on ryu’s wake up so he can back jump, dive kick to restart pressure for MASSIVE DAMAGE.

mad homo. 15th is mgl tournament. let’s go.

How is a tournament gonna work when the demand to play is at 2 hours for one play for non-tournament

Time to make another “EVO Rio Room Roll Call” and hella procrastinate and end up in the Golden Nugget again.

Although I’m sure Louie wouldn’t mind…

Gotta get that ping pang pong

Count me in tentatively…

You mean Gold Coast.

Appetizer menu FTW

ok here’s a good question.

if you were locked in a room by urself for a week and could only play one game, which game would you choose?

any game from any era, any platform. single player mode only.

edit: would the answer change if it was a month? a year?

Single player mode only rules out a lot of games. Will give it a bit more thought.

Are we basing this scenario off imagining our first time playing the game, or am I revisiting it?

I could easily play fallout 3 / new vegas nonstop for a week if it was my first/second playthrough (it’d take a week) but damn, playing through it again eliminates it out of my list

That part wasn’t clear.

You’d probably get through it in faster than a week if you were locked in a room with nothing else to do. Just sayin’

Fallout is a good choice tho.

it can be new or previously played.

but i also very much welcome comments on how that detail would change your answer.

same with multiplayer/vs games.

If I had never played them before then I think ac2 or acb would be good for a week. Also dr2

Does Street Fighter with XBL count? I’m technically locked in the room alone after all.

Actually fuck that. Stupid game.

i would probably choose rockband.

i’ve never played any non-music or non-fighting games for that long, only game coming close being disgaea at like 80 hours.

i get sick of single player games pretty quick.

anyways, what’s going on at evo this year? imma try to find a shitty 3-star hotel weekend for like 150 bucks like i did last time. rather walk a bit than pay hellas for a room you won’t even use.

that’s where a trailer would come in REAL handy. let’s all pitch in for a bearcade trailer.

peter, do you really love dead rising that much? why do you like it more than, say, gta? i finished it one time thru the other day, and i plan on playing it through again to see all the scenarios and endings, but it was rare that i found myself saying ‘holy shit this game is awesome.’

bihn, no u cant play sf online.

so lb would pick a performance based game, where u repeat the same thing over and over in order to perfect ur ‘run thru,’ and where u’d still be able to enjoy urself when doing those difficult run throughs over and over again. i think that’s a pretty good answer, but i also think that it would be draining to play only a rhythm game for a week straight.

peter would pick an action/adventure game where u can repeat play throughs to collect everything, see everything, and do everything.

i thought’d there’d be more rpgs for answers. but i guess most games have a lot of rpg elements built into them now anyway.

i’d probably play a tactical rpg like ff tactics or disgaea. but the thing is, a week probably wouldn’t be enough time to fully enjoy it hahaha. but fuck i used to love tactics.

I never really thought about it but that pretty much nails what sort of new games I like haha… I guess it started with Banjo Kazooie, cool platforming games/collectathons. I like DR2 because it’s a funny game mostly… like how you can do all sorts of retarded shit to kill mass zombies. Also I like new game+ because it lets me stomp around, overpowered as fuck in the early stages of the game which for some reason is cool to me.
