custom evo jerseys.
i thought it might be cool to have a bunch made with ‘BKD’ instead of names, then numbers of your choosing (i got dibs on 3 and 21), but each costs $125.

So, I was scoping around at Eudamonia earlier and I got a better picture about how the 360-rental system works:
Essentially, yeah, they have 4 X-Boxes that are out for rent… BUT, what’s interesting is that, regardless of how many people you have on an X-Box, EVERY PERSON has to pay to rent…
So, if there’s 4 people, each person in the group has to pay for his or her time, despite being on 1 X-box…
In this case, the best thing to do is to essentially rent out all of the X-Boxes if we intend to do STREET FIGHTER at the place; might as well given that there would be no point in crowding around 1 X-Box since everyone is paying anyway.
The rental system works like how the computers are rented out: you have to have someone at the front desk log you in in order to get time on the X-Box; what’s nice about this system is that you can do like 30 minutes now, log out, come back 2 hours later and then play for 1.5 hours… but this only amounts to 2 hours; your hours carry over and you don’t have to play through for some specified amount of time.
With respect to bringing your own sticks or games: it’s allowed [and suggested] since, this way, we won’t have to pay rent on [broken] sticks and we won’t need collateral [such as a California state ID] for the games.
Overall, a weekly 4 hour session would cost roughly $12 [a person] and, in my mind, that’s not too terrible since it essentially boils down to the notion that we would be renting out space for 4 hours every week in order to play SUPER.
(actually, if you buy 8 hours, there’s some kind of discount or something; I wasn’t quite sure how this worked, but it was suggested to me by the person managing the shop)
Alternatively, we could always coordinate with the UC Berkeley Anime club and host street fighter (with our own X-Box’s and sticks) every Thursday… this is free so long as we can get people in the club to pretend that we’re a legitimate part of it (not hard as they always welcome people to bring their own consoles and sticks and whatever).
Anyway, with regards to EUDAMONIA, I’d be willing to do it every Saturday of the month (starting as early as next week) from 6PM-10PM; hell, I’ll show up even though no one shows up (I’ll just hit training mode for like 4 hours or whatever if no one actually shows up).
Tralan, what works for you?
NOT going to NCR. EVO is still up in the air.
Louie and Bihn. It is time. VEGASSUUUUUU!
wtf you guys are jerks just go to ncr
NCR is for suckers
I’d be down to do Eudamonia, but personally Sunday works much better for me.
Sunday would be fine too, really (but then remember: it is before a Monday, when people might have school or work)…
But, for the most part, we just need to decide on a day every week where the majority of people can go…
Friday, Saturday and Sunday might be the best options…
i’m going to evo! whose room can I stay in? :]
weeee i’m on psn
(in korea…)
is it just me or does super feel stiffer?
and why did they disable inputs after KO?
psn…good for you.
super feels stiffer??? I’d have to say that it feels a bit more…oily. It’s just you.
Inputs have been disabled after KO because people be gettin’ mad that they gettin’ STYLE’D on.
play more starcraft, dude
Dammit, I may or may not make it this Saturday (I’m gonna go see the HARUHI movie over in SF)…
Uh… Sunday for sure…
Also, I initially really couldn’t tell the difference between SUPER and regular SF4, actually…
I dunno… I played this more (as of now, I’ve already logged on more hours with this than I ever did with SF IV), so maybe I’d notice it if I picked up 4 again?
“is it just me or does super feel stiffer?”
My statement about the “oilyness” of SSF4 is based off of experience playing on lcd and plasma screens. I have yet to test or take note of any difference between the two on CRT screens. That might very well be the difference between my opinion about SSF4 and eoneo’s view. With that being said, I would like to apologize to eoneo and all of his homies if I might have offended him by affirming his own self doubt.
oh you know what it might be?
i had a similar experience at evo last year playing on ps3 for the first time, since i only had a 360 at home. i know it’s probably just crazy talk, but ps3 feels stiffer to me. or maybe my stock HRAP parts are shitty. what do most people replace the HRAP buttons with?
That’s why Daigo and them play on 360, dude.
